Maybe we could get John Thompson to put a disclaimer at the bottom of every post. ;-)

Swordmaker —

Settle down. The image I have is the same one you have. It is not the one Salamander made. I communicated/commisserated with Salamander that morning, both of us having recently inadvertently caused “storms” via our posts on FR.

Obama has a new desk. The ‘Resolute’ desk is now permanently housed at the Reagan Library in their recreation of the Oval Office, complete with the jelly bean jar on the desk.

I know this because my husband who trucks, had the day off in LA a couple weeks ago and he and the family out there went to the library.

The desk and the tour of Air Force One were the highlights of his tour and he won't stop talking about them.

All I can say is I am very sorry for propagating your work, which was quit good BTW, but to take some kind of blame for something you clearly did not start is ridiculous. I “feel”, I hate that word now’, as though I am somehow responsible, but the facts don’t bare that out. You should “feel” the same way.

Uhhhh, not so.

There are exact replicas of the Resolute desk on display in at least five presidential libraries. The desk at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library was recreated by Robert Whitley. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California and the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum in Atlanta, Georgia, include replicas of the Resolute desk. The desks at both the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park in Little Rock, Arkansas and the George and Barbara Bush Center at the University of New England, Maine were produced by History Company of Ithaca, New York at the Kittinger Company of Buffalo, New York. A video clip of the desk in production can be viewed at www.historycompany.com.

Sorry.

No, the Constitution is fine the way it is. I do not want to open a constitutional convention!

The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children...The US Constitution references de Vattel's Law of Nations, or did you add that in for emphasis? That quote is from the Law of Nations

[so...how about I “go liberal” and find ~somebody else~ to blame?]...LOL!

Well, the original JPEG that was so blurry that people see a K instead of an E was made by me. If I had not done it, or had posted a JPEG with less compression, you might not have been motivated to help people read it better by making your version. You can blame me. I got broad shoulders. . . but I will miss having you accompany me on my ride out of town on that rail.

The BC with a "tear" was created by Salamander from the JPG image I posted on FR at 2:10AM, on August 2, 2009. The "tear" is an artifact of the background removal tool she used. It doesn't exist. The image I posted was the first image other than Orly's that was posted anywhere. The no-background, "tear" BC, was created by Salamander, which she made FROM my image, several hours later.

The image on Orly's site is identical to the capture I made at 2:02AM on August 2, 2009. I have repeated the capture, conversion to JPEG, from thje current Orly image and duplicated an exact copy of the one I posted on FR. I can do it again and again. It is reproducible.

Yeah, right. That just proves it's FAKE. The COLB has been altered in PHOTOSHOP!!! You can't fool us, Obamanoid.

(LOL! Do I really, really have to put a sarc tag on this? )
