Most Americans don't necessarily want to ally themselves with crazy people screaming and chasing down representatives of Congress. There's already reports that some people in the crowds are wearing things like Nazi swastikas. If Obama and the Democrats are able to portray these people as their opponents, it may end up hurting the Republicans by association.

This was part of a Daily Kos thread that I DUFUed on Monday but missed that comment. Note the suggestion that Obama and the Democrats portray their opponents as Nazis and the HOPE that it would hurt Republicans by association.

This is where the charge started and everyone should be aware of the loony source of the charge---the Daily Kos.

Strictly from the standpoint of history, the NAZI party was the National Socialist Worker's Party, a leftist organization. Keep in mind, however, that fascism DOES and can exist on the right in the form of religious totalitarian regimes, sorta like Iran.

This is EXACTLY why I have been suggesting that we permanently separate our selves from these people and the idiots who vote them into office.
