My wife came in yelling one night this week after hearing this news as follows: The Obama going to buy my refrigerator, The Obama going to pay my credit cards, the The Obama going to make sure I get my sauce for my Chicken McNuggets.

WOW

My backup just died. 45 yr old Norge.

My main fridge is about 8 yrs old and works great. No need to buy a new one to put that in the garage.

If I need another backup, I'm sure I can find a decent used one in Tranding Times or something.

A snag occurred in the Cash for Coolers program when noxious fumes from a meatloaf left in a frig for 8 weeks caused evacuation of an East Overshoe, NJ neighborhood. Here, a haz-mat team is seen removing the old refrigerator from the house. The meatloaf was later safely detonated by the local bomb squad. The homeowner discovered the meatloaf when attempting to clean out the frig prior to delivery of a new frig purchased under the Cash for Coolers program.

SoCal Edison will already come pick up your old refrigerator and give you $50 for it. Looks like the good old USA really IS following California's lead in it's march to complete destruction.

We recently chose to buy a new fridge for our get-a-way place...Lowe's took away the old one, which was in working condition. The contract carrier told me they can't GIVE the used refrigerators away.

we have had a $50 cash for old refregiators for years here in So, California.

It has to be working and there is a private company that picks them up and pays the $50.

They recover the freon and the scrap and make a ton of money.
