Could George W. Bush end up behind bars?

(CNN) -- Could George W. Bush or some of his top aides end up behind bars?

It's extremely unlikely, but the Obama administration is taking its first steps along a path that could lead in that direction, with the investigation of Central Intelligence Agency interrogators involved in the war on terror.

"You don't know where these things are going to end up," former CIA agent Peter Brookes told me. "They could go to very high levels in the government."

The probe will focus on whether interrogators exceeded their instructions and broke the law when, for example, they choked a prisoner until he lost consciousness or threatened another one with a gun and a power drill.

Doing fine, Thank You!

It is amazing to me to see so many people here still trashing President Bush as the current occupant in the White House is taking this country down the tubes. For all the Bush Bashers I have this to say...... John Roberts & Samuel Alito

I didn’t agree with some of his policies, but considering what the Democrats have put forth in the past 40 years, GWB is and will be known as the best President since Reagan. The pathetic pouters who are still sore about Ron Paul not having a snow balls chance in hell to ever becoming president, I say get over it and open your eyes to the big picture... Our Country is spiraling down the road of Socialism and they are still trashing GWB instead of focusing on the Marxist and his Czars

It's extremely unlikely,

Indeed less than likely. Obama is still buying the Russian helicopters rather than Vertol, Bell, Sikorsky, etc. so his side is in the game.

Roberts and Alito may well be the only two people who have the ability to save our country from total oblivion. Those two, and WE, the PEOPLE, of course.

The thing that I've noticed is that most of the Bush haters (admittedly) aren't lifting a finger to help fight against Obama, and this Marxist takeover of our precious Republic, while those of us that they deride for respecting President Bush are working our tails off to fight the left.

I think every last one of them is a blowhard and a phony. But maybe that's just me. ;*)

Glad to hear you're well!

This sort of symbolic kangaroo court is normative in leftist takeovers.

Yup. Suggested reading for everyone (since the homework has been done before, there's no need to reinvent the wheel):

Robert Conquest et al., What to Do When the Russians Come

It was originally written back in the Carter era, when the same crypto-Stalinist "progressives" were riding high and kicking the DoD apart, happily expecting Soviet tank columns to roll all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
