"Wouldn't be a republican if he couldn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory."

He should have thought about his apology for a while before he decided to give it. He has now stepped on the message and made it even harder for others to state the obvious.

What is this guy, some kind of dick?

WTF is he apologizing about, being the only pansy assed country clubber in the GOP who grew a tiny pair for a few seconds?

Screw the commie in chief and that insane botox faced imbecile sitting behind him.

We're at the flash point of the next revolution. I, sure as hell, am not worried about a breach in decorum!

Well, yes, but I'll maintain my decorum with a breach of my britches which usually causes those without decorum to throw the first punch. (being fleet of foot is required when doing so on the streets, as are witnesses).

In the interim, those with barrels of ink are seeing their power fall. Honesty of reporting, while slow, is very powerful.

Joe Wilson did break civil protocol for an event such as this and he should apologize, but only for style and not for substance, and he should make that point very clear, which sadly, he isn’t.

Dear President Obama. I’m sorry you lie. I’m sorry I stated the obvious, too.

Real men do not apologize for stating the truth!

Real men also take responsibility for their actions, and the consequences that follow. Sometimes it's a small price to pay for speaking the truth, a price that I would gladly pay if I were in his place. You don't have to respect the man, but you do have to respect the office. Similarly, he shouldn't apologize for what was said, just the manner in which it was said.

The old adage, if you are going to run with the pack you gotta piss with the wolves comes to mind.

And for the rest of the Republican sissies, this old but goodie comes to mind... Lead, follow or get the f*** out of our way...

I think it was smart to apologize here since it was an inappropriate outburst for that forum. THAT BEING SAID... I’m glad he said it. He was right...it is a lie. I tweeted him and thanked him for speaking for the rest of us who were yelling the same thing at our TVs. You know what this is like? It’s like when an attorney asks a leading question to a witness or adds commentary that he knows will be objected to...but simultaneously knows that people can’t UNHEAR something once it’s been said, even if a judge tells them to disregard the comment. Likewise... we’ve heard this now. And like Palin’s “death panel” comment, we can’t unhear it. You can’t unring a bell. And Americans now have a reason to look into the possibility that illegals would in fact be covered.

Exactly....

Gibbs' rules

1. Never screw [over] your partner.
2. Never let suspects stay together.
3. Always wear gloves at a crime scene.
4. Don't believe what you're told, always double check.
The best way to keep a secret is to keep it to yourself. The second best? Tell one other person- if you must. There is no third best.
6. Never say you're sorry.
7. Always be specific when you lie.
8. Never take anything for granted.
9. Never go anywhere without a knife.
11. When the case is finished, let it go.
12. Never date a co-worker.
15. Always work as a team.
16. It's better to seek forgiveness than ask permission.
17. Never be unreachable.
18. Never involve lawyers, things will turn nasty.
22. Never interrupt during an investigation.
23. Never mess with a Marine's coffee if you want to live.
26. Never apologize -- it's a sign of weakness.
38. Your case, your lead.

Didn’t democrats back in 2005 actually boo President Bush during the State of the Union? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/4229461.stm

The Democrats will pay dearly for abandoning “decorum” inside the sacred chamber of the people.

It was unbelievably rude of some members of congress to stage a sit-in and boo the president.

the Democrats boo and hiss George W. Bush during his State of the Union speech. ...

It is regrettable... that he apologized. It is regrettable that every Republican congressman didn’t stand up and call him a liar. It is regrettable that there is a liar in the Oval Office. It is regrettable the American voters, with the help of ACORN et al, voted into office such thieves and lowlifes.

Still - he said what we’ve all been saying. And hopefully, it will embolden others.

I don’t mind the apology. It will happen again. Nancy Pelosi, be prepared. She IS the biggest liar in the Rotunda and she needs to hear it. Silence is complicity.
