Found this video of a small kerfuffle with ACORN frauds selling Gadsden flags at the Protest! After they were discovered for who they were, they were chased out of the Mall.
I guess we better beware of who we purchase from at future protests, so that were not inadvertently filling ACORNs coffers. ---------------------------------------
from TheSpiritOfTruth's YouTube video report:
My blog: http://SpiritOfTruth.me
This is footage of a small group of ACORN activists getting chewed away from the 9/12 DC rally at the Capitol. Apparently someone in the organization decided it'd be ironic to sell "Don't Tread On Me" flags to protesters with proceeds going to ACORN. The plan didn't work out so well as one of the protesters, Tim Jones, overheard the police telling the ACORN folk to leave the rally. After circling a bit, the activists tried to continue their flag marketing, but Mr. Jones would not have it. He followed them announcing to the crowd that they were ACORN provocateurs. Consequently, Tim was hit in the face, shoved and even his wife was rustled up a bit. But his efforts paid off as the Capitol Police eventually intervened and showed ACORN the way out."

I turned it off a little after he told the kid “You got the wrong symbol here, boy”.
He may not have meant it in a racial way, but you gotta expect a reaction when you call a black male, “boy”. He’s old enough to know it.
I’m not saying she is justified for battery. But, I understand her reaction completely. She flies into the frame yelling “that’s my son”.
In sum, I would be very dubious to point this video out as something that glorifies our cause. If he left the word “boy” off his exclamation, it would be different.
The worst part of this video is that for some people, it confirms what they believe is said behind their backs.
LOVE IT!
NOpe, I’m not falling for that liberal political correctness/that’s racist! garbage!! Sometimes a boy is just a boy (and this WAS a kid, which I believe is what Mr. Jones meant, and not something racial) and a girl is just a girl—when I was a teacher in an inner city school years ago, I would tell kids getting in trouble, “Girl, you need to settle down now before I have to send you to the office!” Or
“Boy, how many times have I asked you to bring your homework to school EVERY day?!?” I used it with white kids, black kids, hispanic kids— nothing racial about it, just a way of speaking that’s been co-opted by the left as ‘racist’...just like they did the comment by John McCain about “that one” when he pointed out HolyO’s liberal background during a debate!
I think if the rally was full of racists, there would be tape after tape of people using the N-word casually—even Mr. Jones, as he follows these ACORN operatives around until they actually leave the rally, NEVER used the N-word on camera...saying boy to a kid who is deceiving decent Americans—not so much racist as descriptive, IMO.
Now if Mr. Jones had been speaking to a full grown elderly black man and said ‘boy’, yes, I think that would have been racist. But this WAS a kid/teen, and it WAS a boy. Nothing racist about calling him a boy in that case.
“NOpe, Im not falling for that liberal political correctness/thats racist! garbage!! ...”
I’ve never been accused of being PC or liberal. :)
Look, I’m not saying he meant it that way. I give the man the benefit of doubt.
What I’m saying is that all of us know by now that you don’t call a black male “boy”, even if he is literally a boy.
You have see why this kid’s mother would get upset. It’s nice to say that “boy” wasn’t used in a bad way. She doesn’t know that. And there are certain things that push logic out the window and emotion into the forefront.
This isn’t a video I would show my friends as an example of someone on the other side assaulting a 912-er. No way.
I must confess that I purchased four of these Gadsden flags at the DC March for $5/each from a fellow wearing a Steelers (my favorite team) cap. He was nice enough, we exchanged a few pleasantries about the Steelers. I wonder if he was ACORN.
He and his wife happened to be standing nearby when they asked a police officer some sort of question (where to park? not sure), at that point either they volunteered that they were with ACORN, or the cops pointed it out and asked them to leave the rally...
I too wonder now if other ACORN operatives have been selling these Gadsen flags at various rallies. Probably got a good yuck out of it, laughing at the people who gave them money.
Thanks. Well, the four sof us are all thrilled to each be displaying our Gadsden flags, so everybody is happy, I reckon.
Work on that font and clip art all day? They...Are...Not...Going...Pass. Huh? Pass? or Past?
How about: They are not going to pass
Or: They are not going past
