It's the fried-chicken defense.
A lawyer for one of four men accused of plotting to bomb Bronx synagogues complained on Thursday that a government informant plied the suspects with food.
"You can't watch the tapes that you don't see eating going on," said Marilyn Reader, lawyer

Oh man...I was subjected to Church’s Chicken a few times as a kid. I never complained, since take out of any kind was a treat, but man that was definitely not my idea of good fried chicken.
I do like their biscuits, though.

I’m actually not surprised, as there was a similar case involving a Brooklyn-based soda manufacturer named Brooklyn Bottling. Someone started a rumor that the KKK was bottling the soda, and that it contained a chemical designed to sterilize black men.
