America gets everything she deserves.
Given a choice today, the majority would choose Obama. That says a lot about where this nation is headed.

Yep, in 2005, everyone thought it would be Hillary versus Rudy.

I’m willing to bet Carter would have smoked Reagan if a poll were taken during September 1977.

There's one huge difference between Reagan and Palin. Reagan stayed on as governor come hell or highwater. Sarah Palin QUIT without completing her term.

Unfortunately, you are correct. And all the innocent passengers go down with the doomed flight. The moron flight crew (demonrats and their enablers),on drugs, doesn’t even know the plane is crashing ... or doesn’t care.

Who did this poll, Acorn? Sarah has a lot more support among real Americans than what these “polls” show. Maybe the poll was taken in south-central LA.

The positive spin for Palin fans, I guess, is that the less the public sees of her, the worse she seems to do, which turns the conventional media wisdom on its head. That is probably because the media won't quite trying to tear her down. This is because they fear her mightily.

Yes and no. For polling purposes, Reagan was out of the limelight as a politician in the early 1970s and did a radio show every week. There's not much difference there. Moreover, I think any blowback from Palin "quitting" has long passed.
It's too early to tell if these kinds of numbers are "normal," or if they reflect her absence from the public eye for a month or two.
One thing we do know: Zero's numbers tend to dip when he IS in the public eye. I will grant you this, though: it's hard for someone to come back from sub-40 approval no matter what you do. It's possible---Nixon did it. But difficult.

Palin has several years to see whether she is the next Margaret Thatcher or Jean Kirkpatrick. So far, I am impressed with her reaganesque qualities. We need someone who is a leader of the conservative movement, not someone who toadies to every whim of the press or society. Right now I believe Palin is doing the right thing. Sitting in the background and saying accurate statements like “death panels” to rile up up and infuriate the leftist-marxists that control our media and White House. She needs to build up her gravitas (how I hate that word!) like she did in Hongkong last week criticizing the FEDS role in the economic meltdown.

In other words, the more people see of her, the better she does. Sounds good to me!
