There is no real cause and effect here. Hussein will never use it and it surely wont be given to Israel who would.

Obama administration has been preparing military muscle to back up the international condemnation
OK right there this story went unbelievable. The military might be preparing muscle, but now that Obama knows about it he will be sure to put a stop to all that flexing. He will probably need to do another apology tour.

These things are not big enough to do the job.
Not even close to big enough.

What's the rush? It wouldn't be used until 2013 anyway.

...which can reach a depth of 60.09 meters underground Oh no, not 60 meters, not 61 meters but 60.09 meters. snicker... Perhaps just enough detail to make people believe any of this is true? As if this CINC would ever use this weapon anyway. If he'd use it at all it would be to trade it away in exchange for another photo opportunity. ;-)

And silly Obiwon stopped our development of new nuclear weapons (small nuclear bunker busters) that could do the job.

I noticed that too about the precise depth. Does make one wonder though what it could do with a hydrogen warhead inside.

All this urgency indicates that the Obama administration has been preparing military muscle to back up the international condemnation of Iran's concealed nuclear bomb programAll this urgency indicates that the Obama administration has been preparing military muscle to back up the creation and funding of a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders...

The other option: Israel could drop a tactical nuke to render the site radioactively “hot” on top of any other bombage. If the bomb doesn’t take the nuke site offline, the radiation will.
To: rhombus
It’s a literal conversion of 200 feet. The latter is an approximation itself, of course, since any number of factors will affect the actual penetration depth.

Rods from God
Orbital systems that depart orbit are unarmed with high density penetrating tips and are steered to impact at over 15,000 mph.
Basically anything that can withstand reentry heat and can still be steered can be a more effective bombardment weapon.

I have doubts about that. As far back as Sharon and Arafat, Israel has been going around and around to no end. How many times did Sharon chase Arafat into his compound and bomb AROUND it, only to let Arafat out after a period of time?
How many 'threats' of action have Isreal made in recent memory regarding the growing Iranian threat? And what actions have they actually taken?
The diplomats for 2 decades have tried to find ways to 'talk' to Iran. Diplomats keep failing. Diplomats keep threatening. Diplomats keep trying. [Hint: Iran doesn't want to talk. Iran wants to be a nuclear power.] But the diplomats/administrations keep running to the useless-UN.
All the while, Iran continues developing nuclear capabilities -- for electricity, of course, snicker, nudge, nudge.
