Welcome to October! I love the weather, but hate what comes next! :-)
Thank you all for your help in teaching the terrorist wannabes at YouTube that free speech rights are not extended by our Constitution to those who are wishing to do our country harm. No, we're not denying liberty to the hirabists by flagging (as YouTube has set up for us to do within their own terms of service guidelines) their propaganda recruiting videos. We are exercising our rights as citizens and letting YouTube know when hosting certain videos is in violation of executive orders. YouTube doesn't police itself - they leave it to us to do the work. And boy have we been! You guys are So let's get to the numbers, shall we?
27 users suspended totaling 2,142 videos An additional 92 videos smacked down from daily playlists jSDotd had 8 videos downed in September... It all adds up to.....2242 hirabist videos removed in September!
WOOOHOOOOO!

If you're new at this, we'd love to have you working with us. Here are the steps for flagging videos: (H/T to rawcatslyentist) #1) If you don’t have a YouTube account, go sign up for one. You don’t have to use it for anything but this. #2) Click one of the links below, let the video start and then click the pause button on the player so you don’t have to actually watch the propaganda if you choose not to.. #3) Below the video, click “Flag as inappropriate.” #4) Choose “promotes hatred or violence” #5) Where it says “please indicate the group attacked” choose National Origin. #6) Where it says “provide additional information.....” type or copy/paste in the below statement.

Steps for flagging videos

#1) If you don’t have a YouTube account, go sign up for one. You don’t have to use it for anything but this.

click the pause button on the player so you don’t have to actually watch the propaganda.

So, I want to talk about the real war this morning. Not that we don't do our part in the real war, but something apart from our little battlefield, and something that makes what we do all the more important.
Last night, I was reading an article from The Long War Journal analysing the air strikes in pakistan. So far in 2009, there have been 42 strikes, already more than than the 36 from last year. And, that's just great 'cause I'm all for the Hellfire into jihadi campaign. By all accounts, it's taking a serious toll on alqada and taliban operatives: 404 killed, with some nice high value targets tossed in for good measure. In addition, the death toll to civilians remains relatively low at 43.
President Obama, to his credit, has continued and even intensified the Hellfire into jihadi campaign. And he ordered up a surge in Afghanistan. Good moves, both. As I am sure you have heard, though, he is rethinking his strategy. Moving from a counterinsurgency to a counter intelligence campaign. But, one of the things that makes the Hellfire into jihadi campaign so successful, is boots on the ground. I hope we keep enough boots on the ground.
Here is the bummer thing, though. He made this decision, to change course, after having have had one conversation with the general he picked to lead the charge. That's not leading, that's being led. Very disappointing.
So, with that said, how's about we take out some islamo-facist, terrorist supporting e-jahidi trash!

Youtube is on vacation again. Nothing down yesterday, or the day before. I tell you, for being soooo concerned about promoting hatred and violence, they sure are lackadaisical about enforcing their own rules. What happened to don't be evil, Google? I guess promoting evil doesn't count. Oh, yea, I forgot - the jihadi's aren't evil, we just don't understand the "religion of peace". Honor killings and stonings are just how they do it back east. I'll just take my ethnocentric, racist attitude and go home...
