Kos endorses a Republican (ACORN liberal Scozzafava in NY-23)
CQ Politics ^ | October 2, 2009 | Bill Pascoe

While Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader John Boehner clearly haven't figured out yet how to work together, left-wing blogger Markos Moulitsas and NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions just as clearly have.

How else to explain Moulitsas' endorsement of Sessions' favored candidate for Congress in the special election in New York's 23rd Congressional District?

Yes, that's the district newly confirmed Secretary of the Army John McHugh just vacated, where the anointed Republican candidate -- New York Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava -- has been the subject of local and national conservative scorn.

Now comes the endorsement by the left's premier blogger -- and the endorsement goes not to the Democratic candidate in the special election, but to the Republican.

When a piece by a left-wing blogger is headlined, "NY 23: The most liberal candidate leads (and it's not the Dem)," you know things have got to be screwy; and when it includes, after several paragraphs of set up, the conclusion, "So it's official, I'm rooting for the Republican to win," you know we've left screwy far behind and moved into downright bizarro-land.

Unbelievable. The NY GOP is seriously screwed up. How on earth could they nominate this woman?

Vote Doug Hoffman on Nov 3!!!

This is funny: they kicked Cindy Sheehan off the site when she filed to run against Nancy Pelosi because “our site is set up to support Democrats and only Democrats”. Sheehan was running as an independent.

The libs over there are such scum.

John McCain has his own history with ACORN and the SEIU.

This is the KOS’s attempt at pulling it’s own “Operation Chaos.”

We’re in serious need of a house cleaning.

What we need is to make sure the Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman, wins this race. A three-way special election race is winnable so long as Hoffman’s campaign can mobilize the grassroots.

It sounds to me like Kos is trying to help the conservative candidate by endorsing Scozafava to drain votes away from her to the conservative and elect the Dem. That is how I would read this.

“This is the KOS’s attempt at pulling it’s own “Operation Chaos.””

Not really, because the pro-abortion, pro-gay-marriage, pro-big-government RINO that the Kossites are supporting is running in the *general election*, not in the GOP primary (there are no primaries in NY special elections for the U.S. House, and the RINO was selected as the GOP nominee by the local GOP party hacks).

Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman is the only option not just for conservatives, but for anyone that is even slightly right of center.

Scozzafava seems to translate as a broad Scottish bean. Maybe that’s where her first name comes in. And Pelosi means furry or hairy.

Kos makes its endorsement in the NY special (yup, the most liberal candidate running is the RINO, kids).

"How on earth could they nominate this woman?"

"They" didn't nominate her. She was nominated because she had the support of 3 or 4 county chairs who cast the majority of the caucus votes. It was not an open process.

Those 3 or 4 sought the chairmanship of their counties exactly for this type of scenario. They are CRONIES of DEDE. So it no surprise at all that they supported her.

The fact that no conservative person came forward to serve as county chairman opened the door for each of them to gain their position. regardless, http://www.doughoffmanforcongress.com

The NY Conservative party rates NY legislators like the ACU.

Scuzzafava’s ratings for the past 2 years are

15! in 2008 plenty of democraps scored better

56 in 2007

http://www.cpnys.org/index_files/2008_Description_of_Assembly_Bills_used_in_Ratings.html

http://www.cpnys.org/Assembly_07_Ratings.htm

The democrat State Senator Aubertine that the rats wanted to run for this seat scored about the same as Dede in 2007 and much better (50%) in 2008.

Kos seems genuine in his support for the RINO. Though he lives in a dream world where she’s a “moderate conservative” and “Blue Dogs” aren’t actually liberals.

1 nutbar Kos poster is even more insane calling Dede a “hardcore libertarian” and intimating that’s why she’s for partial-birth abortion and gay marriage while not mentioning her love of labor unions and tax hikes.

Pete Sessions should pull his head out his rear and switch NRCC support to the only Republican in this race, Doug Hoffman.

Hoffman can win this.

If he doesn’t though it would embarrassing it’s better if that regular rat wins and not the RINO so the NRCC doesn’t waste it’s money supporting her in the 2010 primary which it will if she wins.

RINO is often used when CINO or “squish” would be a more technically accurate term. In Dede Scuzzobama’s case RINO is to be taken literally. If the house breakdown were ever 217-217 and her you can bet your @$$ she’d vote for Pelosi as Speaker.

The rats actively recruited her to run for this seat and in 2008 she was one of only a handful of RINOs to get the ballot line of the marxist labor Working Families Party (Obama was their Pres nominee).

15 means she is below even the RINO threshold, and simply a democrat mole in the party.
