A 'Convincing Win' in Ireland for Europe Treaty (Constitution) (Europe now one Country!!!)
The New York Times ^ | October 3, 2009 | Eric Pfanner

Posted on 10/03/2009 8:41:53 AM PDT by TheRiverNile

Ireland has said yes to a plan to raise the political voice of Europe in world affairs, voting overwhelmingly to approve a treaty aimed at streamlining the operations of the European Union after rejecting the same pact only last year.

Irish government and E.U. officials hailed the strong turnout in favor of the Lisbon Treaty, which would give the E.U. its first full-time president and foreign policy chief. Approval of the referendum follows a bitterly fought campaign that had raised concerns among foreign investors about Ireland’s commitment to the 27-nation bloc but ultimately hinged on Ireland ’s profound economic troubles.

FYI, it all comes down to the Czech president. If ratified, the EU will have a parliament, president, court, military, central bank, and currency.

If it walks like a country and talks like a country...it sounds as if Great Britain, France, Ireland, Germany, and Italy...all once great empires of their own, will come to an end.

I’m sure that Europe will benefit in the beginning, particularly economically but if it isn’t based on a Republican form of government, it is doomed to fail.

So! The leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom will be like governors of states.

Ireland will soon regret this move. Europeans have always prided themselves on their unique national identities.

Over time, this will prove to be a bad thing for Europe.

If I were head of the EU right now my main concern would be safety and security against terrorism. With the advent of Iran on the verge of getting a nuclear weapon (probably only weeks away) and the saber rattling of the Soviet Union of late as well as the total capitulation and appeasement of the Obummer administration to the Soviets with regard to Eastern Europe, I think more than ever before that Europe as a whole or as individual countries need to prioritize security concerns not only against Middle East terrorism but also against the distinct possibility of the return of the Cold War as well as the return of Soviet imperialism rdprvislly against those countries that border it (including Turkey).

It is unlikely that President Klaus and the brave senators will be able to stick it out until the summer 2010 when UK will have general elections. The chairman of the Conservatives has promised a referendum in Britain if the treaty has not been ratified before. Everyone counts on a massive majority rejecting the treaty in Britain if only the voters get the chance to be heard.

If President Klaus somehow manages to hold out in time for a decision in Britain he is on par with Joseph Sobieski, Karl Martel, Winston Churchill and other defenders of freedom in Europe.

Just wait to the first civil war breaks out in the future and we’ll see how long it lasts.

What about Poland?

Poland has not signed but has agreed to sign based on conditions that have now been met.

Very well stated. Many posters here don't know how much support Klaus deserves from us. The good people here that are fighting Obama's policies need to support this man loud and vocally so that it is heard across oceans.

Exactly! Everyone - including our new masters in Brussels and their henchmen - knows that the majority of the citizens are very unhappy with this project. Eventually there will be a revolution or a civil war. And judging from previous events in Europe it will be very bloody once it breaks out.

Russia will try to make Europe sit neutral, after eating up Ukraine and the rest of the Soviet sphere. Russia then will focus mainly on the south (Middle East) and North America (with Chinese assistance)
