Members of the New York City Muslim community suggested Saturday they were being unfairly targeted in a terror plot probe, as a friend of the probe's prime suspect said the scrutiny has put his "life on hold."
Several people speaking Saturday afternoon at a news conference cautioned authorities against profiling Muslims in their probe of an alleged bomb plot with links to Al Qaeda.
The suspect, Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan immigrant who worked in Denver and New York City, is being held without bond in New York. The friend, Naiz Khan, befriended Zazi 10 years ago at a mosque.

I’m getting this overwhelming sense of deja vu.
Until we see “peace-loving” American Muslims turning in jihadists, until we see imams preaching against jihad, then we should continue to profile and give extraordinary scrutiny to the Muslim community.
If you won’t clean up your community then we will have to do it for you.
Why that isn’t common sense to EVERYONE is beyond me.
Every time I put my hand in a fire, I get burned.
Am I now a racist for saying that ‘fire will burn me’.
Always the victims.......
Khan’s houseguest happened to be cooking up a bomb plot. Sucks to be Khan, but he should thank his lucky star and crescent that this is in America and he’s only being watched. A lot of other places and he’d be kept and beaten in a dungeon.
Hey, um, Mustafa, Achmed, Mohammed, Sheik Yerbouti etc. As we American infidels say, If the shoe fits.....
What can one say, when dealing with the exempt, you are never dealing with reality. Notice Islamic apologists never speak out on the violence against others or solve any of the viral philosophy, beliefs and behavior. Profiling and tracing is the key considering Islam and its supposed social order is nothing more than a quasi-political and military movement that camouflages itself as a religion. People are deliberately misled regarding realities of Islam, being sold Islam-Lite. The fact is, all hate movements are marked by: victimology and collectivism. However, as with Dictatorships, Fascism and Communism or other such command and control systems, a social tool is used to stealthily control the populace. Islam should be banned on its face due to the primary tenets of hate and violation of codified laws applied to any individual/group behavior which declares and promotes violence, advocates unlawful activity among members and conducts business activities in violation of Civil, Human and Constitutional Rights. Think of the Koran, Surras and other writings as a Middle Eastern version of art of war. There is no social redeeming value in either Islam, Koran or supporting documents! Just look around the world, if you like what you see go there and enjoy life at its finest.
Yeah, I guess if the authorities would only stake out softball games, bingo houses, NASCAR races, Synagogues, and Baptist churches, they could find all the dangerous folks and bring this threat to a quick end.
To not target muzzies is like fishing in a sand trap. The fact that we do not target muslims is why we have given up freedoms. The fact is I resent it.
Why shouldn’t we be targeting them? It’s THEIR extremist brethern that are doing this KRAP!
If we don’t watch them, how are we going to know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys? Especially when they run around with rags on their heads and across their face.
This is the stupidest klap trap I’ve ever heard! How do you know a bad white guy from a good white guy if you don’t profile which is which!
I am SO SICK of the democrapic politically correct bunch of bull krap I’ve ever heard!
We give up our freedoms, and we openly elected a guy that says he’ll stand with them if things get ugly (which means he’ll be against the infidels).
This country is before F’d.
