Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.
Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.
I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding." Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him.
At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.
No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange?
It's very strange." Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN)

I believe he was there (I graduated in ‘82). But it’s possible to attend the school and be a complete no-show on campus, if you have the right connections. I wouldn’t be surprised if his handlers, including Bill Ayers, cooked up a special program for him where he attended off-campus sessions for credit.
The neighborhood around Columbia is typical urban congestion, most of it owned by the university, and I could easily see someone living off-campus, getting indoctrinated by his handlers, and being just “present” enough to fulfill requirements without being “contaminated” by other students.
The campus protester were amateurs and wannabes. Obama and his handlers at Columbia were the real thing.

I have one, and he's in it. There is also an article by him in the college magazine from 1983 decrying the deployment of pershing missiles in Europe.
I don't doubt he has the paper from Columbia. I just doubt that he was part of the normal campus system.
I was thinking the same thing! Instructors keep records...and sometimes assignments. Even if he was a poor student, they could say, “barack was my student, but I knew him as barry..he was quiet, but persistant”. Anything said is better than nothing.
Before I will add a comment, I need to know how big was this particular class. 50? 300? 600? I met a man about year ago who graduated with me in Mechanical Engineering, Spring Quarter 1970 - never saw him before. I found his name in my commencement program. If O’s class had 600 graduates then perhaps 40 never knew him.

It’s a little odd that he had no friends or anyone else who remembered him. So true. It’s human nature for people who knew a famous person before they were famous to come out of the woodwork. Kind of like a lottery winner all of the sudden having thousands of friends they never knew about. You would think there would be a lot of hanger oners who want to be the one who knew Barry when.
Who is paying the attorneys to keep his past hidden? If he is such an amazing person, why is his past hidden? What are ALL of his records sealed? Why is his team attacking the “birthers”? Other presidents have historical markers at their birthplaces. Where is ozeros? With a lapdog media, you would think they would treat it like we treat Bethlehem. Things that make you say hmmmmm.

Poll 500 random members of my college class I doubt many if any at all would remember me either. I don’t even guarantee I’m in the yearbook. Never picked one up to check.
I lived off campus and was indifferent about the things that grab peer attention. Not everybody is a rah rah in everybodys face type.
I decided to look for “famous” graduates of Columbia. The only mention of him I have found so far is on Wikipedia.
