Oops, Burr voted against cloture. I don’t understand the lineup of senators here. There must be other prefidy in the works. Can Burr survive 2010 considering the Democrat surge in NC?

Yup, Burr will break the curse on this seat in ‘10 and become the first incumbent to win reelection since 1968. Bev Blanco Perdue’s approval ratings are in the toilet, and she, along with Zero, will depress turnout for the NC Dems next year (remember Zero only won there because of Bob Barr’s getting the margin of victory McCain needed). If NC had off-year elections for Governor, she’d lose by 20% to any credible Republican. We’ll pick it up in ‘12 if she stands for reelection (and even if she doesn’t). Palin will win NC in ‘12, too.
