" Town of Allopath Short Video, by Dr. Mercola Don't Inject Me, by The Health Ranger"

Those were great Lizzy! Thanks!

I have two cousins, brothers, one who was a pharmacist (who died six months ago) and the other one is a retired high level exec for big Pharma. Over the years, both of them have gotten our family OFF of more prescribed medications than they have ever recommended we get on. (The Pharm exec once went ballistic when he found that my doctor had put me on Advair for occasional asthma symptoms.)

Surprisingly, here's what he sent me on the Swine Flu:

Prevent Swine Flu - Good Advice

Dr. Vinay Goyal is an MBBS,DRM,DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist) having clinical experience of over 20 years. He has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital , Bombay Hospital , Saifee Hospital , Tata Memorial etc.. Presently, he is heading our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W).

The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know .

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or wash). Chewing fingernails a no no! Rubbing eyes also very chancy.

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4... Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

I suggest you pass this on to your entire e-list. You never know who might pay attention to it - and STAY ALIVE because of it.

It seems he already had swine flu before the immunization, but then again it seems as though the side effects were from the shot. Is that what you get from it?

That's what it sounds like.

Good rules. Saltwater gargling is an oldie but goodie. Mom used to make us all do this during flu season decades ago.

You're claiming the H1N1 vaccine killed people again. We hashed it out yesterday, if you will recall, that the full quote said they were unable to link the deaths to the vaccine.

You seem a nice person, but you post a lot of incorrect woo as fact.

Mine, too. And it makes perfect sense -- saltwater = saline, although I doubt our mothers and grandmothers made the connection.

It just shocked the heck out of me that a high level guy from one of the big ten pharm companies, would send me "a natural way to avoid the flu".

My son and I and our dogs just got back from the softball field where unbeknownst to us a few geese previously had settled in. Within seconds, both of our dogs were seen enjoying a little "snack" of goose poop. My son and I retrieved our retrievers and went to a tennis park instead where we let them run. Now both dogs within minutes of one another were seen throwing up once each. POSSIBLY, my son and I thought, because they had the poop just previously, that might have caused the current puke. There was no way it could be proven, though, but we decided anyway to keep them from their beloved softball field until the ground (and poop) freezes over. That's how I feel about the dead Swedes. POSSIBLY they could have died from the swine flu injection via the thrust of chemicals into their already compromised systems. There aren't too many people save yourself that are so trustworthy of an inoculation that has plenty of side effects listed as "possible" reactions to completely write off the issue in Sweden just because it hasn't yet been proven they died of the swine flu injection. When I link to something I DO look it over to see if the person/site seems credible or not. But as you well know, some of the least credible people have stories in major publications and some of the best information today can be found on YouTube, so it's up to the general public to sort through the knowledge they're given (or have searched for on their own) and retain what they believe to be true and write off that which they feel is "woo" as you like to say.

Well, if you have a retired brother from big Pharma, I can only imagine you were setting me up with your questions. But everything you mention is solid advice ... and it's nice you're off the Advair. My husband was told when he was one sick child that he would be on asthma medicine for the rest of his life. Instead, he decided to run. And he's never stopped (except for taking the medicine that is).

I’d like to see the medical history of those people and the immunological mechanism by which the vaccine allegedly killed them. I remain completely unconvinced that correlation equals causation in the Swedish cases.

Seems they were old and not in that great of shape to begin with, however, that's all I've been able to glean off the Net. They very well could have died from the tuna fish sandwich that got partially lodged in their throats at lunchtime. Who knows? I will tell you one thing, though. These kids that are dying from the Gardasil vaccine makes me very upset. I've got a daughter in that age range and I will be protesting as best I can if there's any push to mandate that dreadful vaccination in Illinois.

This is not a reliable source or information - it’s more sensationalized than even most journalism.

Better review article, here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2360730/?tool=pubmed

There won’t be an “efficacy study” in 11 and 12 year olds, because it is assumed that they are not sexually active. In fact, the apparent efficacy statistic will be skewed toward less effective by adding these girls.

However, the goal is to separate first sexual contact with the vaccine (this isn’t the sex vaccine) and to have a wider coverage because we catch them before they are exposed. Not only that, but the younger girls have a stronger immune response by making more antibodies (not more adverse effects) and younger girls under 18 are also more likely to catch the virus when exposed than older women because of the type of cells that make up their cervix.

Even in 2006, we knew that the vaccine gave at least 5 years immunity.

25% of 11 and 12 year old girls have received at least one dose of Gardisil in the US. The reactions are similar to the same conditions in the general population, except for frequency of fainting and clotting problems.

There are three vaccines - the nasal, live attenuated virus spray, the single vial (syringe) dosage without thimerosol, and the 10-dose vial that has to be put up in separate syringes that does contain thimerosol. There’s no “VIP” — stuff.

None of the swine flu vaccines have adjuvants.

"Well, if you have a retired brother from big Pharma, I can only imagine you were setting me up with your questions."

No, not at all. He's a cousin, not my brother. And just because he worked for them, doesn't mean that I am a friend of big Pharma.

I use something called an electronic cigarette -- it's a personal vaporizer that delivers nicotine -- a healthier alternative to cigarettes. We just went through a big fight here in CA where big Pharma backed a politician who introduced legislation to make e-cigs illegal. Why? Because Big Pharma wants people to use THEIR nicotine replacement products, not some unregulated product like e-cigs. We won for now when Gov Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill.

Big Pharma has big money and lots of political power -- and they will use it wherever they can for their own benefit, not ours.

Then why are the news reports saying otherwise? Saying that it has a special exemption?

That dang mysterio!!! He gets on my case and I think everyone is on my case.:)

Is the e-cigs vaporizer battery operated so you can bring it with you in the car or is this something just for home use? I've never heard of it. I'm guessing the product through big Pharma is not a vaporizer but something more like the patch? I gave up smokes a long time ago; hardest darn thing I ever did. I still sleep with a dab of peppermint essential oil up my nose in fond remembrance of the menthol in Salem 100s [it's been 30 years].

Congratulations! It's really tough to quit.

Until I got the e-cig, I had not ever gone more than 36 hours without a smoke, ever -- I smoked through colds, flus, and everything -- for 30+ years.

But once I got the e-cig, I've gone ten days without a cigarette, without even really trying to quit. Now I have maybe one or two regular cigarettes a day, down from 2 packs a day. But many people have quit smoking altogether with the e-cig. I just haven't really tried to quit for good yet.

Here's a quick video clip of one style of e-cig. There are different styles & brands. But they look, act and feel like a cigarette yet there is no "smoke" -- it's actually just water vapor formed around propylene glycol, plus flavoring and if you chose, nicotine. (There are nicotine-free options.) It feels, tastes and acts much like a cigarette, but without the 4000+ nasty cancer-causing chemicals.

Actually, some Freepers turned me on to e-cigs.

On youtube, there's even a video of the Chief of Staff of UCLA Med Center extolling the virtues of e-cigs as an alternative to smoking cigarettes.

Thanks for the link to the post ... you MUST be a real doctor for in these two sentences alone, I had to look up four words:

"The human papillomavirus (HPV) family is a heterogeneous group of epitheliotropic viruses of which more than 100 genotypes have been fully sequenced to date (de Villiers et al, 2004). The primary target of HPV infection is the basal cell of the squamous epithelium."

I don't think I could ever get through that article. Not even in the morning after my vigorous walk and healthy morning cocktail! I've read articles from NVIC and Mercola that are VERY easy to understand and I've seen girls both suffering and pictures of those deceased on YouTube videos after receiving the Gardasil vaccination that I also understand quite well. It's heartbreaking. What do you think about girls whose lives have been lost or shattered through the taking of the Gardasil vaccination?

My role in the Big Pharm conspiracy requires that and more. You should see the paperwork involved. I've put in a request for secretarial assistance, but apparently they're all out with the flu.

As for quitting smoking, I would suggest the Allen Carr EasyWay method. It's simple and effective.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. So many smokers don't want to be smokers, but it's just too hard to quit. I was told when I was quite young that my lungs had dark spots on them and emphysema was in my future. I was a bit freaked out, but it STILL took me seven years to quit. Just an insidious curse of an addiction. I'll pass along the e-cig info to anyone I know that still smokes. The things you learn on FreeRepublic.:)

Big Pharma is like any big organization with power and money. There is no "conspiracy" -- it's a simple profit motive and contributing to politicans, like Senator Frank Lautenberg, who further their interests. I lived in NJ (home of Big Pharma), worked for a hospital system and my husband was in a political job -- so I get it.

We love to hate Big Pharma when they politically intercede on their own behalf. But when we get really sick and they have the cure, we are ever so grateful that they are around -- until we are well again.

As for quitting smoking, I would suggest the Allen Carr EasyWay method. It's simple and effective.

Great book. Read it twice. I just wasn't completely committed to quitting.

Different smokers have different issues quitting --for some its the habit more than the nicotine, for some it's the other way around.

I'm a nicotine addict -- breakfast was always coffee and a bowl of cigarettes.

Now, I vape (inhale vapor) instead and when I do have a cigarette, it's with a little blackberry brandy after dinner. From two packs a day to to 2 cigs a day in a few months is quick enough a reduction for me at the moment.

The only reason that I even have cigarettes around and available is because my husband still smokes and won't even try an e-cig. He's stubborn and says that he can quit smoking when he wants and he just doesn't want to now -- but if he does quit, he's going to quit period, cold turkey. What can I say? He's a guy and the e-cig to him, is like "asking for directions".
