Struggling US Airways said on Wednesday it will cut some 1,000 jobs next year, shift nearly all of its flying to its three hubs and Washington, and suspend several international routes.

Make air fares more affordable. My kids can’t afford to come to visit at Christmas, about 5k to fly the family of 5. Cheaper flights = more frequent customers?? No?

Couldn’t happen to worse airline! Part of the problem with airlines in the US is that for years the US government never let them fail therefore free market principles do not apply.

I've flown on African airlines that are better than US Scare.
Classic example of how unions and utterly inept management destroyed the company.

As one who often drives 150 miles each way just to take Southwest fligths rather than suffer through US Airways flights, I have a feeling that the original post was intended as sarcasm.

If only it were that easy. They have to cover costs right? Otherwise it’s Amtrak with airplanes. Jet fuel is expensive (we just bought a 50 gallon drum for research for about $650 taxes in). The taxes on airline tickets are ridiculously high too. You may want to talk to your representatives about that.
