“It’s not in Big 3 territory, but we should keep an eye on some of the other state special elections as well. MI Senate 19 is a big one and a bellwether district. It voted for Gore, Bush, and Obama.”

Yeah, that’s a big election as well. GO MIKE NOFS!

there needs to be a movement to put referendum on every ballot to limit absentee balloting and the loopholes it creates

Citizen referendum demanding photo ID to vote and very strict limits on Absentee balloting must be put in place

Referendum should also mandate purging voter rolls and cross referencing death records and felons with voter rolls

There is no honest reason not to require these changes

Perhaps enforcement of some enhanced penalties for voter fraud would go a long way

Pray that the people perpetrating the voter corruption get caught and convicted.

the RNC and NRCC will still defend their decision to spend money trying to prop up that useless, unlelectable DIABLO Scozzafava in the NY-23 while not spending a dime to help the conservative (and electable) Harmer in the CA-10.””

So how do we take over the RNC and the NRCC ???

And put some people with guts in there????????????

I think we should infight about where we're supposed to do our infighting.

A vote for infighting about where we're supposed to do our infighting is a vote for Democrats, Communists, terrorists, Satan and the Grinch.

Christie called Hannity yesterday and claims he has hundreds of poll watchers and about 600 lawyers ready to counter any Franken-style vote fraud.

In my area of NoVA I have not seen a single Deeds sign in a person’s yard. Not even my next door neighbor, who last year had about 20 Obama signs, wore a different Obama shirt and hat every day the week before election day and asked me on election day (which was also the day we moved in) if we had done our civic duty and voted for Obama to save us all.

I’ve seen a good number of McDonnell signs IN YARDS (including my own). Lot’s of Deeds spam, however (my name for signs on the medians).

Opps, almost forgot, this is Prince William Co.

I'm not sure anybody is actually for Deeds.

Oh yes. I was at the Charlottesville Farmer's Market Saturday and one vendor was trying to convince me based on Deeds' support for family farmers v. agribusinesses, but I said that I had too many other issues to consider him. He was perfectly civil about it though. Another customer came up, saw his Deeds poster and asked very sadly if he thought Deeds really had a chance. He said it didn't look good. There were two college-kid true believers at the Rosslyn Metro this morning trying to drum up a few more votes. I think my liberal co-worker is just anti-McDonnell (or any Republican) though.

It was reported on Fox this a.m. that the number of absentee ballots in NJ, after some new law passed by Corzine, is way up. Especially in Camden and Newark where, as Brian remarked, is where Barry campaigned this weekend.

My predictions:

NJ Gov - Christie by 2 (legal vote); Corzine by 2 (total vote)
Va. Gov - McDonnell by 14
NY23 - Hoffman by 3

It seems with all the national coverage of the NY, NJ and VA races has raised awareness and turnout everywhere will be above average. I was #11 At my polling place 15 minutes after it opened Talking to a worker she said this was much higher than normal. They normally in an off year get only 50-60 voters all day. Not that my vote will have any effect here in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota. I’m certain none of my choices will win.

Thanks ... I can sort of respect the guy at the Farmers' Market ... at least he has some articulable reason to support his chosen candidate. The reason may be BS, of course ...

Too many folks, and too many campaigns, are pure "anti".

I am really pleased with the very positive McDonnell/Bolling/Cuccinelli campaign this year.
