WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY (KMOX Radio) -- Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, a demonstration at Washington University against socialism was making some students uncomfortable.
Students cutting across the campus on a warm fall day heard the Soviet National Anthem in the breeze, coming from loud speakers inside a makeshift prison camp complete with a high-wire fence, blood-stained inmates and goose-stepping guards in Soviet-era uniforms.
Organizer Dirk Doebler of the conservative group Young Americans for Liberty says the goal was to show a "liberal-leaning" campus the ugly history of socialism.

EXTREMELY
Here's an article from American Thinker.
Ah, poor little commie bustards were uncomfortable, my heart bleeds...not
The problem with winning the Cold War is that we don't have the Soviet Union to use as a bad example anymore.
My teenagers tell me that many kids in their school “get it” and can see that politicians are messing with their futures. These kids are the future of America. I am hopeful there will be some great conservative leaders arise from them.
Throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that howls is the one that got hit. Too bad for them.
Hot Dog! I drive through this campus every day in my commute and it is a liberal bastion. So good to see some of the kids still get it!!
If you really want to see Socialism, don’t go to the Sociology Dept. Go to the Financial Aid dept. Cradle to grave Commies.
I don’t think that it makes the kids uncomfortable at all.
Young people are very open to different points of view and ideas.
Its the professors that are being made uncomfortable as this undermines their efforts at indoctrination.
Hurrah for these enlightened, aware kids!
All I can say is if the shoe fits....
Warning about what happens in socialist lands.

They’re calling “V” “anti-Obama”,
when it is simply an allegory on the dangers of smiley faced (at first) fascism.
Shoe fits, eh?
Pootie poot is trying his best to make sure that we can use Russia as an example, even to this day.
Yes, they get it.
Even the Russian President gets it.
But the WUSTL administration and faculty don't.
Why over 60+ years later are we still hunting down Nazi’s who helped kill 8 million jews, while not a single communist who helped kill 100+ Million people has been put on trial?
Something smells.
It’s encouraging to see that the right is getting more active.
Very awesome! Way to go conservatives. Brains full of mush have no idea about the history of communism and socialism.

==================================================== John Burns, an area resident who is not a student but who is involved with the Washington University YAL and participated in the display, said he felt the University censored students in a manner similar to Soviet communists.
I guess the students at Washington University were in a gulag all along, and the administration proved it through their stifling of free speech, Burns said.
