Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is pushing back against home-state conservative critics who have sought to censure the independent-minded lawmaker, arguing that he will not allow the criticism to block his efforts to find common ground with others in the Senate.
The Charleston County Republican Party this week formally censured Graham over his repeated efforts to work across the aisle on the economy, climate change and immigration. The county party also asked the state party to rescind a resolution commending Graham.
Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop issued a statement defending the Senators legislative work and his track record on conservative issues.
Senator Graham has a lifetime conservative voting record of 90 percent and last year was rated the 15th most conservative Senator by National Journal. Like former President Reagan, he strongly believes elected officials need to find common ground and work together to solve difficult problems like making our nation energy independent and protecting our environment. Working to solve problems and being conservative are not mutually exclusive. You can do both and thats what people in South Carolina elected him to do, Bishop said.
Senator Graham will continue to pursue the same common-sense conservative agenda in his second term in the U.S. Senate as he did in his first, he added.

Ew.
Pushing back against home state conservative critics. How about the entire country critics.
Whenever you find the phrase “find common ground with others” from a politician, that means “COMPROMISE.”
Compromise is the process in which a politician is a loser and will turn over and prostitute any values they may have simply to make it look like they did something for their base.
Well, this fairy has found common ground with the Marxists, Socialists and Communists and should be recalled by the voters he does not represent.
Sorry Goober....but the people have spoken....MAN UP OR GET OUT!
Man, give a warning before you say something like that... hot coffee does not feel good shooting out someones nose... ;-)
:)
I pray the common ground he finds with his democrat allies, is on the unemployment line.
I don't care if he had a "95%" Conservative voting record (and even the 90 percent is open to interpretation) it is which of the 10% of the issues he has chosen to oppose which is key.
Not only that but Twinkle Toes Gramnesty, has gone out of his way with his "in your face" attitude and contempt for what major issues (such as immigration and Gorebul warming) which grates and his willingness to (ala McLame) to reach out across the aisle and cooperate with the RATS which makes him a pariah and a candidate for being thrown out.
As an aside and an interesting exercise in engaging the opposition, next time any of you encounter a RAT, ask them this: While there are MANY Rino's (too many to name and you/we all know who they are) who regularly oppose their party and cooperate with the libs why are there (and challenge them to name even ONE) DINO???
This Energy Bill is welfare for Wall Street. It will not make us less dependent on foreign energy but it will make us dependent on foreign Carbon Credits. How stupid is that?
Apparently Graham has only one core value: Going along to get along. Other than that Everything is compromisable to him. And he really thinks his lack of morallity is somehow courageous.
The good news is that people like him are being seen for what they are—vacuuous human forms without souls.
Light-in-the-loafers Lindsey.
There is no “common ground” with the presently aligned democratic party. They are socialist.
Senator Graham should do exactly what the voters of SC want him to do. He shouldn’t do what he thinks best for them, or what is best for the country, but WHAT THEY WANT him to do. He works for them!
Unfortunately, he does what John McCain tells him.
We need to tell this little pip squeak to "shut up".

Want on or off this ping list?
Just FReepmail me.
Screw you!
Lindsey has the same attitude as 90% of the Senate, RATS and PUBS alike.
Lindsy is the result of a cross between a rino and an elephant. A disgusting pig.
But at least pigs are good for something, cannot say the same for Lindsey.
"Senator Graham will continue to pursue the same common-sense conservatove agenda in his last term in the Senate..."
