OZARK, Ark. Ozark Police Chief Jim Noggle says one of his officers used a Taser on a 10-year-old girl who was combative when the officer tried to get the girl into a patrol car to be taken to a youth shelter.
Noggle said Tuesday that officer Dustin Bradshaw went to the girl's home after her mother called police woman called police.
According to a report filed by Bradshaw on Thursday, the officer found the girl on the floor of the house screaming and crying. She refused to follow her mother's instructions and the mother told Bradshaw to use his Taser.

This bastard needs a serious beating.
A few honorable men should step forward and teach him a much needed lesson.
This is just so disturbing on so many levels.
He was in the right. There’s no way a police officer should be expected to control a 10 yr old girl.....
What would this cop do with one of the gangbangers in my neighborhood?
Pitiful aint it?
I don’t think it’s the police officer, I think it’s the mother. What kind of mother calls the police on her ten-year-old daughter, has her on the floor, kicking and screaming hysterically, and tells the officer to taze her?
With each and every case of a police officer using force at lesser and lesser levels, it slowly is “accepted” by society.
Or more and more folks just ignore the story and chock it up to same ole same ole...
Either way we are fast approaching the day when our police will be allowed to use any level of force they deem necessary on anyone accused of any crime, this is the danger most ignore when these stories come out.
The kind of mother that didn't swat her on the diaper when she was younger. The kind of mother that was not consistent in her dealings with her daughter.
We raised 7 kids and all of them had occasions when they needed a swat on the diaper. If it is done when they are still in diapers, you don't have to do it when they are bigger.
I never had to do more than one swat on the diaper, and never when they were older. Raising kids requires consistency.
You don’t have enough facts to assert such a thing.
That swat on the diaper can get you jailed and your kids taken away in many jurisdictions now.
I’m not sure what to make of this. Initially, it seems outrageous, however, if the officer did this in order to defend himself from an out-of-control child, then perhaps it was justified.
“struck Bradshaw in the groin “
Not in Wyoming.
Sooner or later parents have to spend time teaching their kids, or they will visit them in prison.
It is easier when they are still in their diapers. You don't hit them hard, just enough to get their attention, and only once. They then will know you are serious and will listen.
All my kids are employed in taking care of themselves and are productive taxpayers paying for your retirement.
They appreciate that they have parents who cared and taught them.
For crying out loud. He’s a grown man, she is a small child. If men can no longer handle children without a taser we are in deep *@*t.
So? She was an hysterical child. Do you know what precipitated the hysteria? Do you have the whole story? No.
Maybe he should have put her in a choke hold?
If he had put his hands on her to control her, he would be facing a molestation charge.
The kick in the groin probably got his attention.
Well said buschbaby....
I feel exactly the same way about this disgraceful episode.
He's an idiot.
I understand what you are saying, but there have been cases of children actually murdering adults. She also assaulted the officer. Perhaps pepper spray may have been a better option.
