Very grim show tonight. Beck expects Senate to pass Obamacare by Christmas; bill to be "reconciled" and signed by Obama at beginning of 2010 (abortion back in, single-payer system in, Medicare rape back in). Beck's office called all 58 Dem senators for comment. Not one called back. They are in lock-down by Reid, Obama. Beck expects "immigration reform" to pass next. 20 million new Democrat voters. Unions being taken care of by Obama -- they get everything they want. Very alarming and depressing.

Yep, things are looking mighty droopy! But when more of us quit complaining and start taking ownership of our Republic, gardeners will spring up; it is the natural order of things.

The closer 2010 gets, the lower the likelihood of passage. Dems are scared for their jobs. Obama’s “savior” status apparently had the coattails for ONE big bill ... he blew it on the stimulus. The stimulus blew up in his face, and he squandered his goodwill. Everything else is DOA ... cap-and-trade, Obamacare, immigration. He’s a 9-month lame duck.

People have to understand, legislative stuff doesn't just "happen" spontaneously. Bills don't get passed or halted because some FReeper has the correct opinion on every disputed question. This political thing only works if you work at it. And if you don't work at it, it doesn't work.
I wish everybody was like you, Fu. We're generating pressure here. Call, write, e-mail. Keep on pushing!
Personally, I feel I have to do all I can right now. I fear the outcome of inaction, either way that it may go.
No Merry Christmas here. If this passes, it’s the final straw for us. All that remains after that is taking care of things and high tailing it out of here.
They better start building prisons with some of that stimulus money.
Because they’re going to have to lock up a whole lot of people for the “crime” of not buying insurance.
I like the way you think. My family and I have had almost this exact discussion. This IS the line in the sand. You are so right.
I’ve had so many folks ask me, “When do we act?”. I think we just have!
There are things that I cannot advocate that I also cannot condemn.

How Long will God Intervene?

Biblical Christians hold that the God of Scripture has intervened on numerous occasions in order to keep our Republic intact.
Why?
One major reason is that America is the only nation that began with believers holding high Christ as Savior and the Bible as the Word of God.
These originals interceded before heaven’s throne daily. They taught their children to do so. Those children then taught their children likewise.
Those pioneer petitions are as if they were prayed this morning for with God time is a thousand years as a day and vice versa.
Add to these early leanings upon the divine our present tense prayers of genuine Christians and we have a national protective cover layered by the heavenly host.
Biblical believers know that the ongoing war circling the globe is essentially a spiritual battle. Satan fights God. God, of course, is more powerful than Satan; nevertheless, the combat can be exceedingly fierce.
It is fact that God continues to intervene for a nation founded upon faith in Him. He will intervene in the future as the righteous remnant remains constant in strong, simple faith.
Those who despise God and His holy standards join with satanic attacks from outside our country. However, the righteous remnant counts as an extremely mighty force when it comes to divine intervention.
The unrighteous mobs cannot cancel out the earnest pleas of the sincerest disciples.
Day upon day, watch for the divine intervention. God is still on His throne. The planet is solely His property. He watches over His grace children with a jealous love.
God plants the stars in space, knowing them by name. He has secured the sun and moon, the planets and their precision. Therefore, no mere mortal clay can boast of godlike prowess except for that individual’s eternal damnation.
Consequently, biblical believers must increase their prayer and praise before the Creator’s presence, knowing that it is He who judges the Earth and uplifts the faithful.
It is this God who intervenes so as to spoil the plots of the destroyers.
