WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree outside of his Isleworth home early on Friday morning, officials said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was seriously injured and taken to Health Central Hospital. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that a patient was taken to Health Central, but would not confirm that the patient was Woods.

Woods was driving a 2009 black Escalade, FHP said. He hit a fire hydrant outside of his home and a tree outside his neighbor's home.

FHP said the crash is still under investigation.

Update: Authorities: Tiger Woods hurt in Fla. car crash

“Odd house. The houses seem awfully close together and not much of a back yard.”

You think that’s odd? Here’s bird’s eye view that is really interesting....thanks to FReeper “FReepaholic”. Check out the powerlines to the left...when you’re looking at the house.

Wondering if Tiger’s SUV had security/bulletproof glass. With his fame and fortune one would think so. Could a tiny woman with a golf club do serious damage to security glass? Just asking?

Only if she keeps her feet shoulder width apart, shortens her back swing, keeps her left arm straight and follows through, ending with most of her weight on her left foot...

“Wondering if Tiger’s SUV had security/bulletproof glass.”

I didn’t think bulletproof, but I thought shatterproof. Let’s face it...she didn’t break the glass to rescue him. I hate “unsolved mysteries,” so I’m hoping we are told the truth.

LOL. Have seen videos of bullets shot at security glass and glass stays intact. Therefore, my question.

Police turned away again by Tiger’s agent. I guess they have to get their stories straight....

(bowing humbly) Thank you!! It was fun! I’d like to thank my inspiration, Mister T. Woods, and I could not have done it without Fire-Eye Drant, and of course Mr. E. Tree! Oh, oh, and wait, this would not have been possible without Elinz Nye Nyron, thank you so much.

Sounds like she may need the “Dream Team” representing her. “If Tiger’s face she did not hit, you must acquit.”

Uh, you are wrong:

If a crash is detected, all doors automatically
unlock, the battery terminal automatically disconnects, the fuel
supply is automatically terminated, warning hazards are automatically
engaged, high consumption electrical components are automatically shut
off and an emergency signal is automatically sent to OnStar Telematics
(if equipped). If you didn’t catch that, it all happens automatically
so no need to worry. These steps greatly minimize the possibility of
trapped occupants and fire.

Fuzzy has a long term reputation of being a total jerk - why is there any question about that?

Tiger’s agent? I guess.

In that house are Tiger’s lawyers, Tiger’s dad’s lawyers, Nike’s lawyers, GM lawyers, PGA lawyers and a few I’m sure I’ve missed.

The next thing out of Tiger’s mouth will be read exactly as written with no questions allowed and it will be that way forever regarding this incident.

Need him in a tournament commenting on his “A Game” as soon as possible.

Who was claiming the car was drivable, yet it was towed away? I guess it’s drivable if you don’t need the R front wheel, according to what the pics look like!

The “mistress” had hired Gloria Allred today. She has been talking about the affair since it started in June. Since Tiger’s accident, she has vehemently denied it.

Or broken windows? Yes...I wondered about the drivable “towed car” also. Darn...I don’t think we’ll ever find out!
