WASHINGTON The UN is currently marking the historic date of November 29 1947, the day in which it approved the partition plan separating Israel into two states Jewish and Arabic. But while in Israel the date is celebratory, as it marks the end of the British mandate and the beginning of independent rule, the UN headquarters in New York and Geneva are holding ceremonies of mourning and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Of course, some of us are ahead of the curve and see the UN that way now.

I will NOT mourn the end of the UN!
I’d love to see that organization kicked out of NY and the building sold to a private company for condo development.

The UN is a very important, critical, organization in the great scheme of things. Some day God is going to give the world an enema, when that time comes He’ll need a place to put the nozzle. What better place than the UN?
