My God most does indeed have favorites - the Bible’s full of favoritism. However, even perchance I am utterly wrong about God I still think we accomplish far more when we refuse to despair and continue in trying to fight the good fight than we can ever hope to do when we give up all hope. Even a purely materialistic view of history shows that upsets can happen when they are least expected; our National Independence stands as a testament to that fact. :-)

In a typical tar-and-feathers attack, the subject of a crowd’s anger would be stripped to the waist. Hot tar was either poured or painted onto the person while he or she was immobilized. Then the victim either had feathers thrown on him or her or was rolled around on a pile of feathers so that they stuck to the tar. Often the victim was then paraded around town on a cart or a rail. The aim was to hurt and humiliate a person enough to leave town and not cause any more mischief.

Don’t care if she is up for election or not. She should be stripped of any seniority, loose her committee assignments and only be allowed to sit on the janitorial committee. Then again, janitors should have tons more respect and job importance than she. Let her clean toilets and put the janitors on her committees. At least they work honestly for a living.

That’s crazy talk! It only takes 50 votes to pass it but 60 to get cloture. If they get cloture, they get it passed.
The Demonrats have all these devices like cloture and nuclear option. Have the Republicians no devices to stop them? None?
