I guess other conservatives listened to Bolton and ignored the initial positive reactions.

There's a lesson in there; wait and follow up (read the bill before you vote on it, analyze what somebody else actually said before commenting on it, etc.). I still remember watching some reporter from MSNBC reading the Supreme Court decision on Bush v. Gore and how excited that person was, until they realized what the Supremes had actually decided.

I don't have a clue what the guy actually believes, we will probably never know. Only his actions give him away.

About the Spanish baptism in your English-speaking church; I remember when the parish my wife an I attended installed a horse trough to replace the baptismal font and I thereafter called that church, Our Lady of Mr. Ed, my wife did not appreciate that. They have since upscaled to a hot tub.

The point is the only possible reason for this kind of behavior is the mis-guided good intentions of people who think that they have to think outside the box to appear closer to God. I don't know if they will get a special seating section on Judgment Day, but I'm pretty sure they will be using acoustic guitars to accompany their singing.

this will just add to the manufactured chaos that is government(under the left).Obamacare, cap and trade, financial regulation, amnesty, etc. make it a three ring circus and difficult for opposition groups to hone in on an issue. Confuse and distract.

Brilliant stuff here has to be repeated and exactly what I was thinking!

I really hope Rush or Beck pick up on this post it is so key to what is happening in the world of the far left. This is their playbook. this is how they destroy the country.

I saw that Rep. Luis Guttierez on the House floor the other day. He was speaking about the omnibus spending bill, IIRC.

That man is a LOONEY tune....

If he is their spokesman, there is no telling what he will say to get this bill going.

That would have been those two dim bulbs who are no longer on Fox, Rita Cosby and Paula Zahn. They flipped to the back and were reading the dissent as the decision.

Brit had to send Steve Centani out to explain it. HA! I have never forgotten it.

And I shed no tears when both of them left for more liberal climes.

Lately, at my church "thinking outside the box" would include using the organ and singing pre-1970's hymns.

Some weeks I have determined that my earthly penance is listening to the music at mass.

Claire McCaskill says to Chris Wallace "make no mistake about it this economy needs to grow by small business being able to borrow money."

What idiots! Why didn't they just loan money to small business to begin with instead of establishing huge slush funds. these people are beyond belief any more.

The true agenda of destroying America gets harder and harder to disguise.

Post 235

Top of the day, Miss Marple

My post was somewhat tongue in check, you took it completely serious and posted all the obstacles. No criticism to you but this mindset is why the Republicans continue to loose, sometimes I wonder if that is not their aim.

It they don’t show up, which they probably won’t, then they (Republicans) use the hearing to focus attention on the subject/subjects of the hearing, force them to respond. The Democrats use these techniques effectively to influence the public, the Republicans can to.. and they can present the truth, the Democrats can’t.

They can use the Internet and talk radio to generate buzz (just give them something to discuss/ talk about) then let it “spill over” to the DBM, determination/persistence and strategic thinking will allow them to get their information out. If news is generated it will be covered, even by the DBM, (who may try to minimize/ridicule it), when it is people responding to media inquiries must be forceful and informed.

Make a Democrat refusal to accocate space as difficult and public as possible, then choose an alternate location if necessary.

NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED.

Some days I am humor-impaired, which is why I took your post seriously.

My point is that we shouldn’t waste time with futile efforts.

If the Congressional GOP tries to set up a rogue hearing somewhere, they will have no witnesses and will be mocked by the media. “Pretending they’re in power, sour grapes, delusional, conspiracy theorists, etc.” will be heard in the media.

Instead, the information needs to be out there by other means. I am hopeful of the internet, because more people are going to it than used to do so. Glenn Beck is also getting information out.

Sadly, I have noticed that when our guys try to hold press conferences, they are ignored. And they hardly ever get spots on the Sunday shows, except for Fox. In fact, I think Fox is the only channel that has invited Inhofe for several years.

That’s why it is so important to get information out through blogs, web sites, Beck, talk radio, word of mouth.
It’s very hard, but we cannot give up. And if the Congressional Republicans would spend some time thinking of new ways to make news and get on TV, maybe they could get the message out, too.

If it is it will only be one of many. OK is just too small to sway larger states. Other than a girly man governor, the state legislature is very conservative.

I think it depends on what actually passes. If zero and the Democrats get everything they want, you are probably correct. If they are stopped for the most part, perhaps a future congress can put the brakes on them.

Reagan turned around a virtually horrible economy and my sense is this can happen again with a good president.

Conservatives praising O’s speech is what made the lefties lose their minds.

Which is exactly why a lot of them did it. They are beginning to understand the enemy. Sarah already had the enemy figured out.

Gotcha, maybe we on the net can make up for the size of OK as their message is key.

As Peter Horry said above if we get messages out the DBM can be forced to carry stories that they have overlooked/ignored even if they reinvent the truth which they always do.

Indeed, I still see the entire purpose of the Sunday shows on most nets as simply a way for the left to get out in front of stories that will be covered by Rush, Beck and others.

The whole effort by the Drivebys is to keep the agenda of the left moving forward(backwards for us). They realize that when the truth starts funneling out, regardless of who does the telling, they lose every time.thats why they try and create truth on their Sunday shows.

Folks will be saying the same thing about Palin.

If he gets Obamacare, it will be almost impossible to roll it back. And if an amnesty passes, this country is finished with the stroke of a pen. And the question is, who is going to stop them?
