Sen. Ben Nelson (Neb.), the final Democratic holdout on health care, was prepared to announce to his caucus Saturday morning that he would support the Senate reform bill, clearing the way for final passage by Christmas.
"We're there," said Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), as he headed into a special meeting to announce the deal.

I’ve been wondering WHAT the Democrat party is thinking... FORCING through a healthcare plan that the vast majority vigorously opposes in the face of an upcoming election.
I don’t think there needs to be a coup. ALL they have to do is pass ONE MORE wildly unpopular law and they will ensure their re-election... amnesty for all illegal aliens now in this country... and a significant number of them will vote (legally or not, why worry about legalities at that point)... and will vote for their Democrat liberators.

Ok, Freepers! NOW is the time to man up. We are not lost if we get down to business.
Every single one of us needs to get active in throwing out Dem. congressmen. I am committing time and money to get rid of my Dem. congresswoman. We need to elect Repubs. in 2010. Then we need to pass no appropriations for anything related to Obamacare. Our candidates need to run on a REPEAL platform (actually, it would be better to replace the health bill with something good, such as portability and ability to buy insurance across state lines).
Then in 2012 we need to toss Obama out. THEN we can get rid of ObamaCare.
All is NOT lost, but we need to man up NOW. This is the time for action, not hand wriging. We CAN not only do this, but we can dump on Dems. for a generation or two. People will HATE this bill. All that is to our advantage.
The statists are winning. Tyranny rules. The American Revolution began over much less.
According to Judicial Watch last night on Fox, they cannot do anything until someone can claim “harm” from the bill and then they file suit and start the years-long march through the courts.
The demonRATS will lose the House in less than a year. Nelson will not be reelected. Nebraska is the most conservative state in the country!

It's time to march on Washington and physically drag every single one of them out of office. They aren't listening to the American public. It's time to stand up and make them listen. I'm ready.
The only spirit of bipartisanship and reaching across the aisle I see on this are those who would criticize Republicans as well as Democrats on this.

It will be quite interesting as older people are basically told to go off and die quietly. I see a scenario where more than one “terminally” ill patient picks up a gun and takes out his frustration on the gov’t. What are they going to do, lock him up for life? Death penalty? He’ll be long dead before he’s even convicted, much less the appeals process.
More bipartisan, reaching-across-the-aisle criticism.
