The Washington Post says, "Even though it was called a vacation, the trip to Obama's childhood home was hardly the holiday most Americans seek."
My three questions to you are:
1) How many days long was your last vacation?
2) How long ago was it?
3) Did you contact your work while gone?

My last vacation was one week (5 working days), this past summer, and yes I called in to the office.
The longest I’ve ever been away from work was seven years ago, when my wife and I spent almost a month in Russia. However, since we were there to adopt a child I would not exactly call it a vacation. Both of us were fortunate to work for very supportive employers who bent over backwards to help us make it happen, so we both still had jobs when we got back with our baby boy.
Could you imagine if Bush was on the beach in Hawaii when there were so many people without jobs?
Coming off of 12 days off today. Seven of those in Hawaii. I sent a couple work emails while my wife wasn’t looking.
Not including getting caught in two different layoffs.
Hubby took a week off this Sept, and YES, he contacted work!!! Several times.
( heck, he just took Christmas eve off to spend with family, and they called anyway.)
Three weeks ago. Nice cruise.
Wasn’t his childhood home in Indonesia?
7 days off in December
I worked the whole time, moving and hurting my back.
I don’t remember EVER having 11 days off, unless it was in a period when I was unemployed, part of a winter, maybe 30 years ago.
So basically Obama seems to be unemployed.
We’re all paying for the Solid Gold Vacations for the Golden Boy and his Golden Family.
Well, they deserve it.
I am still so guilty over slavery that I’m willing to
work overtime to grant all kinds of luxuries to a half-white Muslim whose father was an African who went to Harvard, while my father was born to immigrant Italians, never made it through high school, yet supported a family of three by working as a carpenter. Yeah, all is well in America.
Good catch!
A week this past November was my first paid vacation in 24 years.
The jerk that wrote the story works for the ass. press. He covered the vacation and the boy-king in general..from his twitter crap...Friend of the First Family injured on the beach, Obama back on golf course. As if terrorists weren't enough to keep us busy #obamahawaii
I have not been on a vacation without a cell phone since 1997. I have not been on a vacation without a Blackberry and a laptop since 2002. I have not taken a vacation uninterrupted by work since the early 90s. And I have never taken an 11-day vacation in my life, let alone an 11-day vacation paid for by someone else. Our “president” is a narcissistic dilettante, on top of everything else.
Don't recall any photos of O toting any luggage. Hope your back recovers shortly. But not to worry, we'll all soon have Obamacare!
Every President works 24/7. There is no real vacation. The WH goes with him regardless of location. I said the same thing when Bush was criticized by the Left and the MSM for taking too many “vacations.” It is silly that the MSM feels compelled to defend Obama in this regard.
You earned it! Hope it was great!
“””Could you imagine if Bush was on the beach in Hawaii when there were so many people without jobs?”””
Good Lord, the media would pounce on him non-stop the entire time, and then for months after he came back.
But to answer the question:
Last vacation was October for 16 days (two weeks plus additional weekend)
No I did not contact work. My work and my home are two different places and I do not carry one into the other.
I get more vacation but mostly take them as 3 or 4 day weekends scattered throughout the year.
There is a difference between “working” 24/7 and being “On-Call.” Yes he had to stop golfing a couple times to get reports on how we lucked out from loosing 300+ Americans to a terror plot. Hope it didn’t put him out. But are you going to say his Hawaii trip doesn’t count as vacation?
