Did the man appear on FOX and make those predictions? NO.
Case closed. This e-mail is a hoax - it’s a very simple FACT to check. But apparently some will put political ideology above facts. Enjoy!
We all know the source of the problem. We just need to eliminate the source. Just like we eliminated Nazi’s. They haven’t been a problem since.
In a lecture in New York City he shared information that EVERY American needs to know
Did you bother listening to the interview in the link in post 41? No. He said some of the same things in that interview.
Biography: Juval Aviv Fox News
In addition to his speaking engagements, Aviv has been a guest on ABC Nightline, FOX News, CNN, BBC Newsnight, ZDF (German National Television) and RAI (Italian National Television) and has been featured in numerous articles in major magazines and newspapers worldwide.
So if your stand is that he never said any of these things, you'd be wrong.
I won't answer you again as you make statements without checking the info.
NO NO it is good that you posted this.
Notice the people who want to point out that this is an old email and some of the predictions did not happen as Juval outlined; none of those debunkers make the point that the core information is not relevant anymore.
This post will get many people thinking and will cause people to become more aware.
You Debunkers? Do you also claim the information and tips are worthless since parts of the email are not factual?
Maneesh
YOu did a good thing, got us all thinking again. Do NOT let some take away what is good about your link.
Snopes is a worse source than Wiki. With Wiki, there is always the slim possibility that someone without a far left-wing political agenda may have just edited the article which you just read.
Well, at least thank God for some small favors out of the coming tragedy...
Prophesy must come true if it is to be taken seriously. It’s already been a few months since 2005.
Some of you don’t have a clue...hope your family is safe.
And you rely on snopes???
Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East) to the Bush Administration about 9/11, a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.
Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.
Ping
Look all Muslims ARE NOT terrorists. Most of them are nice people. If you want to go after the bad ones, join the army and fight. If you want to go after innocent Muslims - unarmed neighbors - you’ll find me standing with them...
is that it? you are complaining that we haven’t had the major attack Juval predicted?
HOW do you know that based on this and other factors security wasn’t stepped up at the venues mentioned and attacks thwarted? He is a pretty credible spokesman.
How does an attack not happening as predicted change the wisdom advice of staying aware of your surroundings or having a plan if an event of any sort happen around your family?
If this being posted causes one person to be more aware or one family creating a plan for a major disruption this will have been worth it to post in spite of the failure of the predictions.
Do YOU think any of what he wrote in 2007 about those who want to kill us is NOT true and relevant today?
Apparently the truth carries little weight with you. The original post had specific claims made in it, and those claims were false. And the source e-mail is false as well.
Did I state what Juval claimed could happen is wrong? No - but you like to think I did. Did I claim his cautions aren’t worth considering? No - but you make like I did. You like to make your own truth and invent your own facts; however that is not what a conservative would do.
I claimed the e-mail was false, and provably so. The truth is the truth, no matter what you want to make it out to be. Your lies and innuendos notwithstanding.
I'm glad you're not part of national security.
I think we are approaching the days where suicide bombers will be walking into our restaurants, theaters, hotel lobbies, etc., just like they do in other countries. That is the best way to instill fear in everybody...not just those getting on an airplane.
When it comes to some things, yes. You seem any errors on this page? It's all pretty accurate as far as I can tell, and matches all other sources I've read.
The problem is you dismiss a source because of a potential bias; that is NOT a conservative thing to do (in fact, it is liberal - judging a book by it's cover, a man by the color of his skin, a site by the political bent it takes). Facts are a-political; they exist and are true regardless of your attempt to bend them one way or another.
Juval made some specific claims and none of them came true as he said they would. The e-mail claimed he made certain claims on Fox, and that was also provably false. So the rest of the e-mail may have some good information, but the hard facts bear out the e-mail to be a hoax rather than truth.
A conservative mindset would be to evaluate the facts from any site against other known references, and if they bear out then they are accurate. On many technical issues - including ammunition, metallurgy, physics, math, etc - Wikipedia is quite a good reference. On soft, political issues Wikipedia is definitely liberal in bent.
A liberal mindset would be to throw it all out because of your opposition to the bias in political issues (you don't like what they say about X or Y or Z, so you will refuse to trust them on other hard, factual entries). Judging the content of their facts by the color of their politics, rather than letting the facts speak for themselves. Prejudice is a liberal - not conservative - value.
Logic, truth, reason are the domain of the conservative; knee-jerk prejudice and emotionalism is the hallmark of the liberal. Your words place you on the scale...
This email is over 2 years old. Its been posted here before. IIRC, Snopes has it in their database.
Oops. I got taken...
Still good idea for "What if" thinking.
I had not thought about no cell phone use in case or terrorist attack.
I would add doing what my wife and I have done - always have in the vehicle the following:
A week's worth supply of whatever medications one needs (insulin, needles, anti-depressant or anti-anxiety meds, etc.), plus aspirin, ibuprofen, Pepto-Bismol, etc.
A sleeping bag, some kind of foam pad that you can lay on, a pillow, winter coat, rain coat, complete change of clothes (including underwear and shoes).
Hand sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper.
Bottled water, Hard candy, Instant coffee and metal cup, Energy bars, maybe a jar of peanut butter and a spoon, a few cans of Spam or some packs of those Coast Guard survival biscuits, etc.
Flashlight, Portable battery powered AM/FM radio, Folding knife, Hammer, some basic tools.
Just in case at any given moment one day something suddenly happens and everyone is stuck where they are for a while (whether a short while or a long while)...
“Unfortunately, America hasn’t been yet ‘hurt enough’ by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it’s their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism....”
Our government like ‘em defenseless and ignorant....makes ‘em needy...and justifies trillions for “homeland” defense...
*sigh* Lying hoax e-mail.
