U.S. border enforcement officials came close to stopping the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines jet while the suspect was en route to Detroit on Christmas Day, new data show.LOL! If the bad guy had half a brain and had been successful I'm sure the passengers would care less if they had come close to stopping him or not.

Perhaps the reason that they didn’t warn the pilot was that the administration treats terrorists like criminals. Mustn’t accuse someone of a crime without evidence. Might violate their rights and all.
Instead we should be treating these guys as soldiers in a war against us.

Drip, drip, drip.
Obama and his cronies (and various and sundry libs) tried to “no big deal” this incident, and now it is unraveling.
But, the pressing question is: “Mr. President, did you have ice cream in your shave ice?”

Huh? Way after the fact they try to feed us this story to show us *the system worked*? CYA, IMHO.How does admitting they KNEW there was a suspected terrorist aboard help them? If this supposed to be CYA, then they're even more incompetent than we imagined. This info makes them look far worse. They knowingly endangered lives and acted in reckless disregard for the safety of the passengers and thousands of souls in the flight path. Before this, HS could only be charged with being incompetent boobs. Now, they're certifiably insane, criminally negligent incompetent boobs.

Why did they NOT notify the flight aircrew / pilot so that he could be closely watched!!!Apparently they must not have been thought it to be a very big deal...after all, they waited until THREE HOURS after the plane landed to let the Vacator-In-Chief know about it.

>>”U.S. learned about alleged extremist links of airline bomber as he was in the air... “
1. We are told that the mad bomber boarded the plane without showing his passport.
2. Now, we are told that PSA learned about him while on the plane.
The only reason for him to elaborately evade showing a passport would be to hide his identity, so how did his name get on the manifest?

The attempted bombing of Delta/Northwest 253 on Christmas Day was not the first from the Islamic terrorists nor will it be the last. Since I am a pilot, I have had people ask what can a passenger do onboard an airplane to help thwart a terrorist attack. Having personal experience with a few events myself, as well as reading articles and hearing stories from other crewmembers, I can give you some information which might assist you in dealing with a suspicious passenger or situation.

There is only one possible solution. The device was intentionally disabled in advance.

I was trying to be sarcastic. They are incompentent boobs. Why else would they put out a story like this days after it happened saying they knew he was on board? They think it’s expected of them?
None of it makes sense.

How far ahead of time? Before he got on the plane? During the flight?
Think we’ll ever find out? I don’t think so.

So What.
The terrorists was already on the plane.
Just a little late I would say.
Or they expected the pasengers to take him out.
This is getting worse by the day.

If true Obama’s f-ed. If it’s a CYA Obama’s f-ed. Either way he’s f-ed.
People will remember and it will be used in 2012 election year.
