While a growing majority of Americans want less government, the Obama administration continues to dream up ways to add more government, more regulations and more government intervention requiring more government "workers".

The one thing that would really help the middle class is the one thing he WON’T do - leave the Bush tax rates where they are.

0bama plans to "Help" the middle class.
Of course that will mean more regulations, bureaucrats, and, oh yes, taxes - on the middle class.

The next best thing to that is another thing he won’t do either: find a nice long rope and hang himself.

Middle class to Barky: Keep the change.

Sadly too many will believe the lies he tells. The question every “middle class” american needs to ask is “how will this really help me and/or my family”? For most the answer will most likely be little to not at all because der Fuehrer has a vastly different definition of middle class than is true in reality.

The whole point of aspiring to be middle class was so you could take care of yourself and your family yourself. If you need aid are you really middle class? In Obama’s world there will only be serfs and nobles, workers and bureaucrats, peons and personages, us and them.

I assume that Zero thinks announcing more spending programs for “the middle class” is going to win votes for Democrats in 2010.
It didn’t work when Bush tried it, and I doubt it will work for Zero now. Enough people are tired of the government’s promising to “aid” them, and they just want to government to go away.

The proposals to be unveiled by Obama and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House, and which the president will push in his Wednesday night speech, include a doubling of the child care tax credit for families earning under $85,000; an increase in federal funding for child care programs of $1.6 billion; capping student loan payments to 10 percent of income above "a basic living allowance;" expanding tax credits to match retirement savings; and increasing aid for families taking care of elderly relatives. The plan would also require all employers to provide the option of a workplace-based retirement savings plan.I am sure the taxes will not be on the middle class, but on the "wealthy." More bread for the masses.
