Some baffling comments by President Obama in today's press conference.
Asked how how and why small business loans would help small business, President Obama replied:
"If [small businesses] can get the bank loans to boost their payroll... they will do so." He further claimed that in his "travels" he has spoken with small business owners nationwide, and they see optimism and new customers.
I'm curious where these travels took him? A land inhabited with a fairy, children, and a flying boy in a green suit?

“If SB can get bank loans to boost their payroll, they will do so...”, whattt! WHATTTT!!! who the hell wants to “boost their pay roll” just for the sake of boosting their payroll? What an idiotic thing to say. There’s only one reason any business, large or small, will boost their payroll, and that has to do with new business coming through the door... man’s a fool, just a plain stupid fool!!!
Strength or weakness in Economics is probably not germaine. Being reality based, Economics(real Adam Smith economics) does not support his goals and is therefore irrelevant. As a Leftist Hussein says only what is deemed useful for the moment.
What amazes me is people “listen” to him like he knows what he’s saying. I’m ready for some “small business person” to jump up and say “BS, sir!”
As a Leftist, he believes what he says is true because he says it and there is no further reason necessary.

When my business partner and I started our business, we had to borrow money on three occasions to meet payroll while we developed our cash flow. But you HAVE to pay that back, with INTEREST! Like the old saying goes, you shouldn’t open your mouth and PROVE how stupid you are! (Obama, not you dps.inspect)

All joking aside, I agree with you 100%. It pains me to see people who can’t describe the difference between supply and demand and quantity demanded and quantity supplied talking about Economics policy (much less theory).
Or to have people who dabble in philosophy try to lecture me, a 30 year IT profession, about Information Theory.
“Social promotion” may have been taken to its extreme form at Columbia. There seems to be no public record at all of his attendance there. No one remembers him. None of his names nor his image appear in any school publication(yearbooks etc) of the time of his “enrollment.”
He looked dopey and said "Yes". hahahaha. Poor thing, I told him I liked him, but he needed to hone up on his product.
He also keeps talking about “capital gains tax cuts” for small businesses...for the life of me, I don’t know what that means. Oh, I know what capital gains tax cuts are, I just don’t see how small businesses will be able to take advantage of them...the most “capital” a small business has, is the company itself. Surely, he doesn’t want these small business owners to sell their business, does he?
Sounds like Obama's cabinet, actually.

Right now I am having a difficult time to keep from falling into a state of total despair. The abysmal ignorance of our president is only the national symbol of the corresponding ignorance of a huge percentage of the population. “As above, so below”. It has become shockingly obvious to me that the nation is filled with empty headed people and I now have the feeling that the national vacuum is sucking out every bit of useful knowledge left in my brain. I feel as though I don’t quite know how to express what I am trying to say.
I had stopped watching Jeff Foxworthy’s show, “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader” but I just watched it again last night and I actually saw a young man who claims TWO master’s degrees demonstrate beyond a doubt that he is more ignorant than the average fourth grader of the nineteen fifties. Today I told my wife that I would like to see Obama on the show. I am beginning to believe he is at least as stupid as the guy with the two master’s. Previously I had thought that he might have the equivalent of as high as a tenth grade education rated on the nineteen fifty five scale.
Sad, but believable story.

Which in his case is said to be about six feet and three inches but his thoughts are even less weighty than his scrawny body. I doubt that he could comprehend the financial workings of a lemonade stand in a newspaper cartoon.

How could anyone be so s t u p i d ???? Does he truly believe that this is how businesses operate? He can't be serious.
In the real world if obama were to ever start his small business the way he thinks they are run, he wouldn't be able to get a loan. Sad part is, he'd threaten the bank for discrimination and would somehow get the loan. No different than a bank robber.
