World May Not Be Warming, Say Scientists [Time Up For Al Gore's Medal Recall]

February 14, 2010 World May Not Be Warming, Say Scientists Jonathan Leake

The United Nations climate panel faces a new challenge with scientists casting doubt on its claim that global temperatures are rising inexorably because of human pollution.

In its last assessment the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the evidence that the world was warming was “unequivocal”.

It warned that greenhouse gases had already heated the world by 0.7C and that there could be 5C-6C more warming by 2100, with devastating impacts on humanity and wildlife. However, new research, including work by British scientists, is casting doubt on such claims. Some even suggest the world may not be warming much at all.

“The temperature records cannot be relied on as indicators of global change,” said John Christy, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a former lead author on the IPCC.

The doubts of Christy and a number of other researchers focus on the thousands of weather stations around the world, which have been used to collect temperature data over the past 150 years.

These stations, they believe, have been seriously compromised by factors such as urbanisation, changes in land use and, in many cases, being moved from site to site.

Christy has published research papers looking at these effects in three different regions: east Africa, and the American states of California and Alabama.

“The story is the same for each one,” he said. “The popular data sets show a lot of warming but the apparent temperature rise was actually caused by local factors affecting the weather stations, such as land development.”

The IPCC faces similar criticisms from Ross McKitrick, professor of economics at the University of Guelph, Canada, who was invited by the panel to review its last report.

The temperature records can’t be relied on because they have been subjected to so much monkey business.

When will the US Govt Controlled Media start reporting this?
Even the liberal press in the UK is now disputing the “settled science”.

i wrote on another thread:

Dont celebrate yet folks. First off the frauds have an entire generation and a half TOTALLY believing this crap REGARDLESS of facts . So in this case facts won’t matter. You have 2 major world powers England and the USA with leaders who are promoting a NWO and are using global warming as a way to immense power.
Obama is going through with his green plan no matter what . These fanatics and other brainwashed lemmings will NEVER EVER back off of this. The can have the 100 leading global warming “scientist” line up and admit it’s a scam and the STILL will believe in it. Nothing short of serious political upheaval will stop this insanity. This will invole impeaching Obama , ridding the House and Senate of all Democrats , Liberals and RINOS , ousting of Gordon Brown in England .
Don’t expect much to change otherwise. The national media hase’t even said a work of the recent scandles therefore a vast majority of numb skull TV Americans don’t even know the fraud has been exposed.

Well, if the world isn’t getting warmer, can we go ahead and do the “cap and trade” stuff anyway? Seems a shame to waste all that time and paperwork? (/s)

Perhaps, in small teaspoons and some sugaring the medicine will go down.

Next congress: get some of those jerks to testify under oath, subpoena their data and have at it.

It deserves to be the scandal it is.

It’s not about science, it’s about control.

The control will NOT be relinquished.

Please, please go to this link and watch the associated vids with Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB who escaped to America. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN0By0xbst8

This video, and the others in the series, has Yuri talking about the ways the USSR was/is going about bringing on the destruction of America from within. In one video Bezmenov tells how the brainwashed masses will reach a point that from then of the real facts and truth will no longer matter. He tells how the brainwashing will be so effective that even if the masses were told anything contrary to what they have been told that they will flat out deny it and continue to believe the lies.

When I saw this I was blown away at how right he is. GW is a religion, as is the aquisition of power, to these people. They will push even harder now that the lie has been exposed. Algore will continue to make tens of millions, the media will continue to push the lie, kids cartoons will continue to indoctrinate and our freedoms will continue to be stolen from us.

I pray, every single day that I am wrong. In my heart I fear that I am right.

"casting doubt on its claim that global temperatures are rising inexorably because of human pollution."

CO2 isn't "pollution". Without it, there wouldn't be any plant life on the planet.

Take the medal and give it to Irena Adler. A TRULY deserving woman. Too bad, it will be posthumous, but she didn’t save thousands of innocent kids and endure torture to conceal them and her cohorts for a medal, anyway.
