QUANTICO, Va. – Retired Admiral and former U.S. Sen. Jeremiah Denton had some tough words in the mess hall of the National Museum of the Marine Corps, packed with fellow servicemen, including some who spent time with him as a prisoner of war in the Hanoi Hilton.
In an emotional speech last night about his newly updated classic work, "When Hell Was in Session," Denton said he feared the imminent death of the United States of America due to immorality, lack of patriotism and lack of appreciation for the unique form of government bestowed by the country's founders.
"When Hell Was in Session" was first released in 1976 after Denton's return from Vietnam where he was held as a prisoner of war for seven years and seven months – much of that time in solitary confinement and enduring torture. The book was re-released in 2009 – updated with Denton's recollections of what happened upon his return to America, his election to the U.S. Senate and the role he played with Ronald Reagan in ending the Cold War.

We patriots have to stop just waiting around for Barry’s term to end. We need to RESIST! We need to say NO to communism and illegitimate foreign-born presidents!
We all have to be on record as calling for the resignation and/or arrest of the Kenyan Usurper. It doesn’t matter whether or not it’s likely to happen. We need to be ON RECORD as calling for it — otherwise, we will be as complicit as all of the “good Germans” who went along with the Third Reich.
We must insist that every Republican in Congress vote NO on everything the Kenyan Usurper tries to do. They should block every nomination and stop 100% of votes in the Senate if they can. The should raise the issue of Barry’s constitutionally illegitimate status EVERY DAY until people start to really, really listen.
I, for one, will not vote for any candidate who refuses to openly challenge the legitimacy of the Kenyan Usurper pledge to resist everything Barry does.

So true. And I’m afraid that if we continue “waiting around”, Barry, with the help of his marxist/communist comrades, will see to it, one way or another, that his term NEVER ends...welcome to Venezuela.
Yep, that about sums it up. Oh, and gross failure to even minimally control our own national borders.
That just means that the progressives will have one less vote against them to count.

Reminds me of the story of the church garden. It was dead and uncared for for many years. Then a gardener comes along and starts cultivating it, and in a short time it was beautiful and in full bloom. The minister called the congrergation together to show them how beautiful it was. The minister said, “Look what God has given us”. The gardener said, “Rev, God didn’t take much interest in that garden until I came along.”

I agree. I also agree with the retired admiral. Immorality is the #1 reason WHY people want more government. It’s how they shield themselves from the ramifications of their sins. Until a dominate majority of Americans return to morality, there can be no return to small government.

IMO civil war is very improbable. Back in the original one, weren’t both sides fairly equally armed? The AVERAGE citizen comes no where near the swat team.
