Benny Hinn. Most serious Christians view him as a charlatan.

Prosperity gospel people often did not get there overnight, and include those who from their churching ought to have known better.

I won’t question his faith — but his ministry is a bit of a circus act.
Shame about his marriage. Wonder why.

Seems anything goes today with “irreconcilable differences.” It could be that she believes a more small-o orthodox gospel now.

This is the grifter who said he wished he had a “Holy-Ghost machine-gun” with which to blow away his enemies in various other “ministries” who called him a charlatan. :)

Oh, the tales she could tell. She could sink the entire ‘ministry’ if she really wanted to.
Benny Hinn’s whole operation is nothing but a soak-the-suckers scam.

Sometimes it just don’t make sense. For example, you see folks that went to a Roman Catholic church for a time, then became Baptists, then after that they go for something utterly off the wall having little in common with either.

Serious Christians wouldn’t talk that kind of nonsense. This is not the same sort of abusive attitude towards the Holy Spirit that denies salvation in Jesus Christ, but it is grotesquely unseemly.

The only good thing I can say is that for a few brief moments, my mother FELT good after leaving one of his massive church type things. Of course a couple of days later she was right back to dying from cancer, but she felt good for a bit. Not his doing of course, her own optimism and hope, but she got caught up in his service.
He’s still a fraud though.

I met a construction craftsman who claimed to have done work at Hinn’s expensive home.
Hinn “earns” a very comfortable living, from his particular “performance” of Christianity.
Orange County CA has a big portion of Christian HQ. operations, some quite legitimate, and some less so.
Hinn seems to be the very bottom of the bunch. It would be interesting to survey his donors, for such indicators as IQ, etc.

Obama spread “feelings of hope” out better than this.
Biblical hope is based on good theology, not showmanship.

I have had the dubious distinction of catering his aircraft and meeting him in person...not once, but twice. Nutty as a fruitcake doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. He came out of his plane wearing a white jumpsuit and flourescent yellow socks (no shoes) and walked in circles at the bottom of his aircraft’s ramp with his arms extended while we catered the plane. Very expensive tastes....lousy tipper.
