Despite the leftist ideology revealed in Joseph Stacks manifesto, shortly after he crashed his plane into the IRS building in Austin, TX, progressive media lept to align him with the Tea Party movement, describing him as right-wing, racist, anti-tax, patriot, or militia. Sensing the danger the average American citizen in the Tea Party movement represents to Democrats in 2010 and 2012, they seized the opportunity to insinuate Stacks alliance hoping to halt the movements rising populist wave across the nation.
As expected, leftists at the NY Times, Washington Post, NY Mag, Time, Newsweek, ABC and Daily Kos swiftly established the talking points. ABC News went so far as to resurrect Janet Napolitanos quickly retracted Depatment of Homeland Security April 2009 report citing,
Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propoganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.Quoting Mark Potok, of the Southern Poverty Law Center, ABC maligned,
the result is what [is] referred to as a broad-based, right-wing populist rebellion. But Joseph Stack cannot be branded as a member of the right. Stack was neither a teapartier nor right-winger. And he was more than just a loon who attempted to avoid paying income taxes. Although incoherent and underdeveloped, his rants are decidedly left-wing and his manifesto, or at least parts of it, are very similar to diaries at the Daily Kos.

Read the first sentence. The word “racist” is used by the Leftist media. The title is Joseph Stack: Disillusioned Leftist, Not Racist Right-wing Teabagger. I previously said it was my fault for posting the thread without the quote marks.
He/she apparently hasn’t read the first sentence or he would kow that the term was used by the media in their attempt to align Stack with the right.
Liberals lie instinctively.
Did you not read his postings on his blog? He was a communist nut job, he didn’t need drugs or a brain tumor, he was certifiable without them.
I objected to the title of the article, issue resolved. But till the race card is taken from the left’s hands and burned we have to play this little game all the while those bullies laugh at us.
Stack’s postings at DU are being scrubbed as we speak. It will take some detective work, but my bet is that he was a fanatical poster at Huffington and DU. I’m hoping someone finds a post where Stack took king obuma’s harrangue to “get in someone’s face” to heart.
Put that in your Bong and smoke it Olberman!
I know that. But when you read on, the author of this piece is pointing out that the nutjob was not from the right.
I guess I was wondering why David Horowitz was being maligned.
All is cleared up now anyway.
Looks like it’s time for some DUmpster Diving to archive content. :)
I was wondering the same. Especially since he didn’t write the article. It seems there are quite a few vocal posters in the past couple days who’s opposition is unusually strange in its attack when Stack is mentioned.
I guess they are either over sensitive about Tea Party people being maligned by the Lefty media, which is no big surprise and to be expected, or they are trying to get the right to start attacking their own.
The leftie trick to pin this guy on the right isn’t going to work, but they sure did try it.
We miss the forest at times. We have a pattern of lefty inspired violence the last year, but we get caught up in the day to day and miss the chance to pin it all on the libs. Stack is but a pattern of libs gone wild. My memory off hand goes back to Columbine, those killers spewed leftist hate as did Hassan as did Stack.
What this does show is that the Tea Party movement is attracting some support from anti-establishment types on the left. I didn’t know that.
Don’t forget Amy Bishop, the extreme lefty from Alabama obsessed with Obama. Sadly the more disillusioned they become the more we may experience their abberations.
He's lying liberal scum. No sane country would have that man.
Thanks for reminding me. As I always ask, “What was Amy Bishop’s Kos avatar?” Someone could start a leftwing hall of shame Stack-Bishop-Hassan, ect., ect, killer’s wing.
No I don’t think so, my guess is that Stack spewed as much venom at the TP as he did at the IRS. To be a lib you have to hate the right people or they boot you.
Someone could start a leftwing hall of shame Stack-Bishop-Hassan, ect., ect, killers wing.
Yes, someone should. The media fails to accurately report the truth so it should front and center.
bump
Potock is dispicable, indeed, and would in a sane world be *invited* to leave posthaste. But his mentor and boss Morris Dees, is even worse...
