If that happens, Biden becomes the tie-breaker. Ugh...
We need to demand a co-equal split on committee chairs and like just as Lott gave Daschle in 2001 after Jeffords jumped. Or get our version of a Jeffords jump.
Good analogy.
Found this, which I take it provides our answer. It looks like ME passed an even more draconian universal health care bill to provide access and ‘keep costs down’ than MA did:
Nah! No way!
I think Pawlenty is likable and genuine. Romney doesn’t seem likable at all, and a phony to boot.
He put in a rock solid performance on MTP today. He is against cap and trade and has said so several times.
Pawlenty really has “the fire in his belly” to be President.
But if Lautenberg and Byrd are too sick to attend Biden won’t get the chance. You are right of course about the co-chairs. What better way for the Demonrats to show their bi-partisanship? Hee-Hee-Hee
Beck is talking about Progressives — in both parties.. people like John McCain... and he is trying to educate people on what a progressive stands for that when McCain says “I’m a proud TR Republican” he is telling us what he stands for is not conservative principles... he is saying we have to weed out the progressives and IMHO he is right; that doesn’t mean voting for a third party — that would be a disaster — and even Beck keeps saying he votes GOP.. but is sick of what we keep electing... IMHO where he goes wrong is talking about playing around with 3rd parties, but then he is too young to remember Perot like many of us remember that period of our electorial history. As a student of history he has to see how they always benefit the democrats. But we are all at fault for the current mess. As long as our primaries continue to have a pathetic turn out and we keep returning the same tired candidates — like McCain, Graham, Hatch, Bennett, etc., to DC we get the same old tired politics as usual and the same old re-treads running for President.
NJ got one billion dollars of stimulus for ‘schools’ but really for Corzine to dole out in his re-election effort.
It failed and now the money tht was supposed to last three years is gone.
Somehow, that too, will be Bush’s fault.
Hey! Where’d McCain go?
Not that I miss him or anything...
Currently running all over Arizona trying to convince I he suddenly remembered he is our senator and a conservative... but, as JD reminded everyone last night here at the Lincoln Day Dinner, as soon as he’s re-elected (if he is re-elected) he will revert back and you’ll all see the McCain we’ve begun to expect in DC.
He is still pissed that GW didn't go for a balanced budget years ago instead of spending as much as he did. He has a point as well, had Bush balanced his budgets it would have put enormous pressure on zero not to spend as much as he has and the joker would look far worse than he does today IMHO.Aside from tarp that is.
I think you have to pay close attention to Beck, but he is crazy like a Fox (for the most part)... sadly people like Levin don’t seem to understand that and Levin is again attacking the messenger — I guess trying to get attention. What cracks me up is the comment from Levin today that Beck steals info from Hannity — IMHO Hannity seldom has an original thought in his head.
LOL. He does sort of trump everyone else. It was a great speech that really put the ACU and CPAC on the map. They have been feeding off it ever since. I have attended 5 CPACs, including the annual RR banquet.
I guess its our mistake to think that all our talk guys will be 100% all the time. It just won't happen. This time Mark needs to take a second look.
Hannity does a lot of research as well. He just presents everything in a basic talk radio format which can get tiresome but with his audience he is actually right on track.
You gotta remember by the time Hannity and Levin get the stories of the day they are up against coming up with new ideas on stories that have been beat up for 9 hours preceding their shows,12 for Mark. Not an enviable task.
Beck and his blackboard is doing a good job of educating people on who is really representing us now days. I like that. The most masterful of all the talk show hosts remains Rush IMHO...
“Arianna said that the floor mat with Olbermans picture on it, incites violence.”
How about all the dozens of pictures and cartoons showing Bush as a dolt, hater, whatever hate theme they could find?
Were those OK Arowana?
