“Beck put the dems and republicans in the same pot.”

How is that wrong?

Newt awesome and I fell out of my chair when he closed his speech with

Home of the Free because of the brave,

sounded awfully familiar.

I almost fell outta my chair too. I was SURE he was quoting you. Good to know Newt passes this way now and then. We can help him keep to the straight and narrow and stop those impulsive lapses he has—like, when he gets the sudden urge to film a public service spot with Nancy Pafluzzy.

You only start such a list. It goes on and on. Include the Dept of Education and non-military Dept of Energy. But there are other wastes. I will never forget the 60 Minutes segment (I think) on the ketchup “scientist” who evaluates the quality of ketchup. Of all the dumb a$$ things to do......

I will never be convinced there is not millions of dollars of waste and fraud in the federal government.

This is kind of why we have chosen an HSA. High deductible with the option to set aside a significant amount of tax-free money to pay for medical expenses that are not paid by the insurance company.

&&&&

My sister’s family, with a self-employed husband and four active-in-many-athletic-activity teens, found an HSA to work for them, too.

If our politicians were really honest and for-the-people, HSA type insurance would be much more widely supported, geting people weaned away from the employer-sponsored plans that have so many negative ramifications.

It looks like ME passed an even more draconian universal health care bill to provide access and ‘keep costs down’ than MA did:

$$$$$

Recently a caller to a local show in MD talked about how much lower his premiums were here than when he lived in ME, even though he had to pay his own here.

I guess ME just got too compasssssionate with telling insurance companies what they had to do. I also have a feeling that Maine is a chronically distressed area economically, in the way the Canadian Maritimes are these days. Perhaps there is a huge proportion of down-easters who are not paying anything for their health care, but are on govt supported plan?

Yet, the Obamites are moving in the opposite direction. The last version of the health care bill I read is not favorable to HSA plans at all.

Anything that reduces govt control over an individual is against Obama’s plans.

I am sure it is mind boggling.

Beck thinks there is no difference between Bush and Obama.

I have a very big problem with that.

I think this is one of the attractions for Ron Paul. People understand auditing the books to verify or expose waste and fraud. The fact this cannot be done damns every congressman and woman in DC who has not signed on to having this done.

Personally, I believe the congress and executive branch are so corrupted that the only avenue for anything fair would have to come from the Supreme Court. Maybe they could appoint some form of special investigator to get to the bottom of it all. The only thing we voters can do is keep voting to limit taxes/funds that allow the congress and executive branch to continue abusing power.

We outrageously pay the ACLU with taxpayer funds. Why can we not have a conservative ombudsman to represent conservatives?

Beck thinks there is no difference between Bush and Obama.

Beck isn't that deep or knowledgable yet. He's coming at it from his perspective, which is limited by his own admission.

Look, you and I have followed all this for years.  No, decades.  Beck is new and uneducated with a history to draw from.  Given time, Beck will realize his error even if he never admits it.  We went through the same learning process with Rush Limbaugh.

Beck has no humility. He is convinced he’s the messiah.

Blech

Exactly, you can trace a lot of the angst about Beck back to our same ol’ problem we have in the party. Too many people expecting 100% from too many other people and they will never get it.
