The Gay Infiltration of the Conservative Movement
Right Side News ^ | Feb 23, 2010 | Cliff Kincaid

California Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chairman Ryan Sorba generated a media controversy when he was shown at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) denouncing the organizers for inviting a homosexual Republican group, GOProud, into the event as an official sponsor. In "controversial" remarks, Sorba said homosexuality was unnatural and that he welcomed more debate and discussion about the subject from his political adversaries.

But what many people don't realize is that Sorba's "outburst" was provoked by a speaker who preceded him, Alexander McCobin of Students For Liberty (SFL).

McCobin went out of his way to use valuable time from the podium to thank the American Conservative Union, the main CPAC organizer, for making the controversial decision to approve GOProud's participation.

David Keene, a lobbyist, is the chairman of the ACU and personally approved GOProud's involvement in CPAC.

Sorba told AIM, "I think CPAC went overboard this year. I don't think he [Keene] should be sitting at the top of CPAC." He noted that CPAC over the last several years has also allowed groups such as the ACLU to have exhibits at the event.

"What's next?," Sorba asked. "Are they going to have Republicans for Obamacare? Republicans for free abortions?"

Incredibly, McCobin of SFL told me that his group "is not a conservative organization" and that "We spent this past weekend reaching out to the left and the right at both the Young Democrats of America's convention and the Conservative Political Action Conference. We are not left or right."

If they are not conservative, Sorba asked, "What are they doing at CPAC?"

No stranger to controversy, Sorba is the author of the book, The Born Gay Hoax (this is a working draft) and was shouted down at Smith College by lesbian activists because of his support for traditional values.

Was wondering about this. Exactly as I suspected. Seems that CPAC and the RNC are still getting their strategy ideas from the dems and the msm.

They better get their shiite together or they'll be left floating in the harbor when the Tea Party schooner fills her sails.

I think the conservative community needs to be warned of lurking “ironies” like this CPAC. Too many might donate to a Trojan horse like that.

True enough.

Somewhere along the line “The Love That Dare Not Speak It’s Name” became “The Love That Won’t Shut Up.”

Nah, there are a few out there. I know at least one such lezbo. Has no use for the gay “scene”.

This type of tripe is from the fifth column in the GOP and CPAC. I say ignore it. The infiltrators want us to spin our wheels and spend a lot of time on these things thinking that we need to reorganize instead of focusing on the next election. We need to stop making this mistake of the immediate obsession and focus on the longer goal. Forward to November. Forward to victory. Don’t be distracted. Forward with Confidence!

I don’t mind that, as long as government keeps its mouth shut and hands off in any form. People can make up their own minds whether to associate with it or not.

“Ax” yourself this question: If they’re vile enough to do what they do, are they also vile enough to be treacherous - to pretend to be with us, then get a kick out of actually voting for a party Evil enough to more openly try to give them what they want?

Conservatism would always have to be “relative” for active homosexuals. It would be virtually impossible for them to be of a single mind about how they are living, at the least. Questions would darkly hang.

They didn’t “worm their way in” to anything. They walked in the front door waving a check and Keene said “welcome conservative!”

How do you think Romney, the most liberal Governor in the history of the United States, became the darling of CPAC?

Huckabee was right. He’s not always right but he nailed this one before many others.

I hope someone is looking into where this homosexual rights group, GOProud, is getting its funding. I seem to remember another front group which called itself ‘Log Cabin’ and was exposed as being financially backed by an ultra-rich liberal homosexual. They even admitted it when they were caught. That group faded into obscurity once they were found out. Something is odd about how these groups periodically come on the scene, orchestrate a few photo ops, and then disappear (eg ‘Republican Unity Coalition’ and ‘The Austin 12’ (both homosexual front groups)).

That’s hilarious. It would be like Indians crashing a Negro confab.

See post 33 and tell me if you can agree with it?
Conservative and Liberal are about issues and principles of liberty, not orientation.

“I don’t care if gays want to be conservatives. I’m ok with that. But they need to be conservative.”

Exactly. I have nothing against homosexuals who want to support Conservative politics. But there are already dozens of legitimate groups which have been fighting for lower taxes and less government bureaucracy - and these groups have existed for decades. Why in the world would a group of homosexuals form a political interest group based on what they do under the sheets? That right there sets off a lot of alarm bells.

I’ve never heard of any that don’t. Their mental illness is the focus of their lives and defines their identity.

"I’ve notices on uptick of pro-gay “conservatives” in the last few days. It seems they want to infiltrate everything and destroy it. What’s worse is that as soon as they feel somewhat comfortable, this scum start making fun of social conservatives. "

Of course they want to "infiltrate', it's their quest to feel "normal" in their bizarro world, but that doesn't mean we have to bow as they enter the door and hand them the key to the executive washroom, now does it?

As far as them "making fun of social conservatives", don't be so thin-skinned. A quick survey of the "plumbing" of the human body and it's primary function puts their chosen lifestyle into the "weird" category, i.e. not normal. They choose to ignore this fact of anatomy, we don't...so let them laugh, it's tantamount to whistling past the graveyard.

DON'T RUN SCARED!!!!

Does being gay preclude spending your country into oblivion?

Does being gay preclude stripping yourself of 2nd amendment rights?

Does being gay preclude being in favor of abortion?

Does being gay preclude a government takeover of the economy?

The answer to all these questions is no, and that’s why you have gay conservatives. Just because someone disagrees with you on one single social issue it does not make them a “socialist RINO infiltrator” or whatever stupid monikers people wish to throw at them.

I would wager many of these gay conservatives would even vote for an anti-gay marriage candidate, but that will never happen while other conservatives accuse them of being communist moles. give me a break.

Questions darkly hang about everyone who is not a three-leg economic-security-social conservative, which unfortunately is about 80% of the electorate.

When you explicitly exclude gays, or go on the basis of ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’, you embark necessarily on witchhunts and hypocrisy and contradictions on your own concepts of personal freedom.
