That is a great picture and quote, very much like what the Gipper is actually saying, as he observes the 30th anniversary (February 26, 1980) of his tremendous victory over the RINO establishment in New Hampshire Primary, coming back from a narrow defeat in Iowa (31%-30%) to thrash George H.W. Bush 51%-27% (in a field of ten candidates). This victory effectively clinched his 1980 nomination.

February 26, 1980-the day the Gipper won one for the conservatives, all of us. Thanks, Mr. President. It is up to her to win one for you in 2012. And she will.

In my opinion, the biggest hurdle Sarah Palin has to clear is what I call the "catty factor": Women who hate her because she has everything-- brains, beauty, family, strength and power. They will vote against her for no other reason than insane jealousy. So, yes, if the election were held today, O'Bummer would probably clean her clock for that reason alone.

But give O'Bummer three more years, or even two. Even most of the catty women who vote with their feeeeeelings will have had enough to vote for the only viable alternative to four more years of O'Bummer.

Because if you're a liberal Democrat facing this prospect, you're probably thinking: "The Messiah's a goner, but if we're to have a Republican president, please, God, please, anyone but Sarah Palin. Anyone but an attractive, charismatic, principled, conservative, pro-life woman."

And that is exactly why they hate her.

True enough, but those attributes miss the core of the issue. Liberals hate her fundamentally because she embodies the three things liberals fear most: She is good; she is free; and she is a patriotic American.

If she does make a run I expect that the left will do something irretrievably evil to stop her.

If she ends up the nominee in '12 she will have beaten out the men in the field who would present the women you speak of with the opportunity to express their insane jealousy by voting for them instead of her.

And given the choice between voting to perpetuate 15%-20% unemployment brought to you by Obummer and voting for someone who has actually run something other her mouth and who might be the best option for getting her husband working again, I think most women would vote to feed their households as opposed to indulging their jealousy.

At the end of the day, her election will hinge on her ability to show that she makes good desicions. THat will be reflected in:

1. Her record in Alaska.

2. Her personal life.

3. Her advisors.
