I expect a 5 to 4 decision. Kennedy will vote with the Conservatives this time and so we get a good result. Next time Kennedy may vote with the Libs and we will get the opposite. This guy is the only vote that counts in the Supreme Court. The only wild card.

Daly is full of crap. Just like his daddy. Why shouldn’t he be allowed to wear a firearm in the places he mentioned? If he has been vetted and state sanctioned to carry concealed there is no rational reason not to be armed anywhere you go. Even if a person is in a bar that does not mean that they will have a few drinks, get aggressive and shoot someone. Anybody who is a beligerent drunk shouldn’t drink, whether they are in a bar or not. If that happens the perpetrator should be prosecuted as strenuously as possible. Maybe tack on a couple of years for betraying the public trust. I notice how miniscule the numbers of CCW holders is who have committed a crime involving their firearms.
The inference made in choosing places where a person with a permit can not be armed is based in the premise that carrying a gun identifies you as a violence prone person who is to be feared.
The really frustrating thing about a jerk like Daly is that there is no shortage of people being shot in Chicago. The same goes for every other large city. Washington, DC was voted the murder capital of America several times. Did anti-gun laws prevent that?
