If he is so sad and alone, he had better read through the VA pamphlet on why life isn’t worth it for you old farts.

But I’m not sure he took permanent leave of his gavel, either. The news makes it sound as if he can never be chairman again, but it sounds to me like he is leaving his options over to say, okay, I’m ready to come back now. I don’t think anyone “removed” him. Isn’t this like calling in sick rather than getting disciplined at work?

“This criminal belongs in prison, not still in Congress....”
+1 He should be locked up for the rest of his life and never let out. He has ripped off the American worker for years only to line his own pockets? Actually, an American prison is too good for the likes of him.

Lies!
One must have a brain in order to be alone in their thoughts.

And to think Charlie Rangel is a founding member of the congressional black communists... Seeing him resign in disgrace due to corruption charges is highly enjoyable to say the least!

""Forty years - it's been 40 years," Rangel said with a smile of his 20 terms in the House."
Rangel is a great example why we should have TERM LIMITS.
What's the poor guy gonna do when he's just an X Congressman, stripped of all his power with no special privileges?
Poor, poor Charlie. He wanted to die in office.

I am not a doctor, but over the past week or so he appears to be in ill health. You notice a gauntness that sometimes is an indicator of cancer....or maybe he's just hitting the sauce harder due to his troubles.

Charlie Rangel was alone and lost Wednesday, an aging and now powerless pol who didn't know where to go or what to do.
Gee. Sorry Charlie, but my 'Give a S*t Meter' is broken.
C'mon everyone.
How about one big: Awwwwwwwww, for old Charlie.

There are more charges in the pipeline so it’s unlikely he will return to the chairmanship. Doubtful he will run for congress again either.

Can you say “term limits”? It’s HIGH time, even if it requires a Constitutional amendment.
