CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER
Onward, He Said, Regardless Obamacare is heading into its fifth act, and its looking like a tragedy.
So the yearlong production, set to close after Massachusetts devastatingly negative January 19 review, saw the curtain raised one last time. Obamacare lives. After 34 speeches, three sharp electoral rebukes (Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts), and a seven-hour seminar, the president announced Wednesday his determination to make one last push to pass his health-care reform.
The final act was carefully choreographed. The rollout began a week earlier with a couple of shows of bipartisanship: a February 25 Blair House summit with Republicans, followed five days later with a few concessions tossed the Republicans way.
Show is the operative noun. Among the few Republican suggestions President Obama pretended to incorporate was tort reform. What did he suggest to address the plague of defensive medicine that a Massachusetts Medical Society study showed leads to about 25 percent of doctor referrals, tests, and procedures being done for no medical reason? A few ridiculously insignificant demonstration projects amounting to one-half of one-hundredth of 1 percent of the cost of Obamas health-care bill.

Hey Mr. Kenyan! We the People don’t want your bull****!!! Can you hear me now?
The plan calls for ten years of taxes for six years of coverage. So at the beginning of the next ten years, does everyone lose their coverage for four years while taxes catch up to pay for the next six again?

Obama is crying like a little child because he dind’t get his way, and he naturally wants the adults to feel his wrath.
It’s a political game and he’s trying to get out from between a rock and the proverbial hard-place by making the Republicans look “partisan,” which is exactly what HE is.
Say No! to Redistribution of Health!!!
Charles K...you gotta’ love him. He has such high principles, cuts through the crap, and get straight to the meat and bones. Wish he were a politician instead of a commentator.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollees cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.
Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees in fiscal 2010, Matz said. We took them at their word, and I cant believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward, he added.
Poll during Fox News Chicago last night showed 77% are against Obamamcare....right in his own backyard.
However life is a vale of howevers suppose these provisions were bundled into a bill that also spelled out how the goodies are to be paid for and managed say, half a trillion dollars in new taxes, half a trillion in Medicare cuts (cuts not to keep Medicare solvent but to pay for the ice cream, steak, and flowers), 118 new boards and commissions to administer the bounty-giving, and government regulation dictating, for example, how your steak was to be cooked. How do you think this would poll?
Gotta love Krauthammer.
