NEW HAVEN U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., Monday, said he sensed a mood change in the country that it is better to pass health care reforms now, rather than lose them for many years to come.
Dodd, who was in the city promoting his Livable Communities Act, reflected a little on the health care battle and what he will do when he leaves office this year.
The 30-year senator said the mood shift wasnt seismic. I just get a feeling that people are beginning to realize that if we dont get something done on pre-existing conditions, on cost, that this may be lost for another generation.
Dodd, who led the battle in the Senate for almost a year before it passed that body in December, said a family could be paying $2,000 a month for health care premiums without reforms.
He said every state is projected to have a 10 percent jump in the uninsured in the next seven years and 30 states would have a 30 percent increase if all collapses now.

I thought this scumbag was in federal custody by now.
AHHH...the ole reverse psychology trick. Rabbit season, duck season, rabbit season, duck season...duck season!
You might want to lower your dosage on that Zanex Dodd.
More proof that Dodd has lost touch with reality and the people. It’s probably a good thing he’s retiring. He needs to spend more time out in the real world with “the little people”.
DODD you are a worthless POS!
DODD you are a lying SOS!
DODD you are CASTRO-COMMIE lover!
DODD there will be a ‘MOOD SHIFT’ the first day you are no longer in the U.S. SENATE!
Dodd is pushing tort reform?
He is serving time in the minimum security Potomac Uncorrectable Facility in Foggy Bottom, aka, the U.S. Senate.
Yeah right. That’s what I told him the numerous times I’ve called his office emoting my admiration for unconstitutional, socialist health care. ;O)
He can say whatever he wants now that he’s retiring. I’ve kind of wondered how long it’ll be before the entrenched retirees start going hand to hand with the MSM since they have nothing public to lose now but might still have big skeletons in their closets.
This guy is gong to retire so he can say anything. It doeesn’t effect his re-election.
He came to this conclusion because? Nobody spit on him at a town hall?
When it comes to Dodd, it’s Dirty Skunk Season.
We need to get his number out and call right now, thousands of us. The mood and not changed and they need to stop this bill and stop it now!! I’m going to go find where to call and get my friends involved right away, please do same.
Bingo. You hit the nail on the head.
Skeletons rattling is getting deafening for the likes of Dodd.
I got your mood shift right here, Dodd.
Well, even the most ardent Kool-Aid drinkers are coming around—to his line of BS, that is.
He must have gone off his meds.
The only thing that will be done on health care costs is to shift them to someone else. This, of course, always works well with government programs.
