Pelosi will drag out any congressional investigation she sees fit to save the votes. They did Massa in 18 hours and Rangel in 2 years.

The only way to stop her is to elect enough repubs to get her out of the speaker spot. She cannot be defeated in her own district unless she murders a homosexual illegal alien on the city hall steps in San Francisco on TV.

Some goofs on appearance are mean, others on Pelosi, Hilary, Reid, Obama are just irresistable.

Momma Kilparick could share a prison cell with Monica Conyers. At least corrupt Detroit politicians are starting to goto prison.

Many similarities - Obama and Kwame Kilpatrick -- both are narcissistic, rules don't apply to them, the need to dominate media every day, enabling corrupt groupies.

It is difficult to believe that Mr. C isn’t somehow involved.

Maybe you all caught me in a bad mood, but I really can't stand coming here and seeing people make fun of what people (liberal ones) look like. It's in poor taste and doesn't reflect nicely on conservatives. I'd like to think that people can come here to find good discussion of issues and a few laughs, but not at someone else's expense. This just makes us look bad. I've been a Freeper for many years, so don't anyone call me a troll or anything else. I love this place and it saddens me to see this stuff here. Flame away if you must. I can take it.

I made no comment about, or alluded otherwise to physical appearances, I was referring to the fruit not falling far from the corrupt tree. I even inserted a more flattering photo versus those already in the thread.

IN a world where the media is reporting positively about passing the bill without a vote at all, you think the media would think twice about them allowing a convicted felon to cast the vote before voting them out of the house?

I do feel I’m being a racist (I’m not) with this question , but I will raise it up anyway. Why is it that most cities, states or even countries run by blacks deteriorate in time. Yet these black leaders are still able to blame white racism for their problems. Help me on this. Why don’t blacks say: ‘You’re in control; do something’? Why do black folks continue to accept” the racism excuse?

When epic failure happens, they then adopt themselves as “victims” and “victimhood” becomes an identity and almost always, exaggerate it. Then they give failure, lack of effort, and even criminality a tacit stamp of approval.

And what is wrong with black folks that they let themselves be represented by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

“Are there any politicians from Detroit that aren’t corrupt?”

No.

I'm very sorry, Galaxie. I didn't mean to reply to your post. I meant to apply to the original post and type "all" into the "to" box. I really never notice names when I read posts and I didn't even want to single anyone out. I don't even know who said what here. I was just reacting to the thread as a whole. Please forgive me. And thanks for kindly pointing out my mistake. I appreciate it. :-)

You have your point, but it’s also true FR always has been irreverent, or many of the members are. Sometimes the directness provides a good laugh on an otherwise dark day. Some goofs on appearance are mean, others on Pelosi, Hilary, Reid, Obama are just irresistable.

I understand the need to get a good laugh, especially in these days that can seem so dark. But, I guess I'm coming from the viewpoint of a person who has struggled with weight for the last 20 years (since I had kids-I was once very thin) and I just don't like to see people ridiculed for being overweight. I've taken off most of the excess weight recently, but it was extremely difficult and if others can't muster up the ability to do that, I can't say I blame them. It's hard. I'm almost 50 years old and my doctor (general practitioner) told me the other day that my exercise regimen is better than 98% of his patients. I was kind of shocked, but also realized that what I do is very hard.

As far as Nancy Pelosi goes, the woman is trying to look her best. We older women aren't blessed in the looks department like men are; we look worse as we get older and they look better--even if they go bald. If she didn't get her face Botoxed, then Freepers would be laughing at her wrinkly face. Look what we do to Helen Thomas here! These poor aging liberals can't win either way with us!

OK. Off my soap box. Thanks for the non-flaming reply. :-)

Mayor Bing is actually starting to clean up the mess. He is a good mayor who is pi$$ing of a lot of people in Detroit, which is a good thing. He acts more like a conservative businessman.

We are not talking Congress here, we are taking the FBI and Corruption. She cannot trump, stall or fiddle with them in anyway, pardon my french but they won't put up with her merde. If someone gets charged here (i.e. Kilpatrick, Conyers) She can't run the block on them. Imagine in this climate if she keeps them in power without asking them to resign. Think about it, The lame streams can choose to ignore it, but at some point they will get dragged into the story and have to mention that the most ethical Congress would have potential felons still doing business. With Glenn, Talk Radio, Tea Parties and email chains the word would get out and she would look even stupider if that is possible.
