They had a Michael Landon special on Biography last night and Merlin was one of the people they interviewed.

Holy Cow. Fearsome is right. I’d hate to go up against any ONE of them, let alone 4.

Read this on Wikipedia...”Olsen played professionally (from 1962 to 1976) for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. A leading defensive star of his era, he missed only two games in his 15-season NFL career.”
That is impressive.
RIP Merlin Olsen

You're thinking of that other spinoff, Tiny House Out on the Prairie.

RIP. As a kid, I was a fan of his work on “Little House on the Prairie” and “Father Murphy.”

Mr. Garvey was played by an NFL Hofer? I had no idea.
He had mesothelioma? Yikes.

Yes. He made 14 Pro-Bowls in a row (including his rookie season), which is still an NFL record, IIRC. NFL Hall-Of-Fame inductee.
Mesothelioma - that is a surprise. I wonder where he was exposed?

I don’t know where he would have come into contact with asbestos. On set somewhere? He filed suit against NBC and Universal before he died.
