PHOENIX (AP) — John McCain and Sarah Palin are scheduled to campaign together in Arizona next week for the first time since they conceded the presidential election in Phoenix in 2008.

Palin and McCain will be at a rally and picnic in Tucson on March 26, followed the next day by a rally in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa.

Sigh.

To the Romney supporters who are beating this poor dead horse with 962 - approximately - posts about Palin campaigning for McCain, YOUR GUY ENDORSED HIM, TOO.

To the Paul supporters who are beating this poor dead horse with 958 - approximately - posts about Palin campaigning for McCain, YOUR GUY WILL NEVER WIN THE PRESIDENCY.

To the purists, enjoy life in your closed compound.

I do not think Heyworth is who you think he is.

I do not think Scott Brown is who you think he is.

But again, enjoy life in your closed utopian compound.

I agree McCain is as bad as Obama.

McCain is worse than Obama! With Obama, we are seeing the people get off their duffs and OPPOSE - with McCain, we would see the people be quelled into silence, and a continuation of the same old/same old.

I'm not giving Palin a pass on this - she owe's McCain nothing - and even if she did - to put her personal indebtedness over the needs of this nation - puts her on my same old/same old list. She's not the "rogue" I thought she was.

“Palin supporting a Rino over a true conservative is very troubling for me!”

Ditto that.

Sarah really needs to scrape McCain from the bottom of her high heels immediately if not sooner.

Supporting Sarah Palin is not supporting a RINO. McCain was the Republican nominee two years ago and got some 47% of the voting public to vote for him. He isn't a conservative, common sense or otherwise; but he isn't someone who it would look good to see us throwing over the side like so much chum for the water. Way to look reasonable and ready to lead! The guy we picked for President two years ago now isn't even good enough to be a Senator!

Now, you're getting it. Retire that POS. In fact, run him out of town on a rail.

Reagan should be Palin’s mentor and I thought he was until she turned into just another politician who obviously thinks we can overlook her supporting a RINO! Never have I been so disappointed {even by Gingrich!} If she could clearly state her conservative values as a split from Mclame at just the key moment in Arizona, it might help restore her credibility...Perhaps I am fantasizing...

I hate to say for the first time but... Actions have CONSEQUENCES!... She will lose at least $20 :) (won't buy her next book)

Sarah must know HOW those of us who were FANATICALLY on her side, feel about the AZ Weasel!... She insists in supporting him, and she will pay the price.

If you sleep with dogs, you will eventually smell like one.

2+2=4 simple.

Her actions (don't buy the 'loyalty' argument) don't ADD UP.

She can NOT the be person I thought she was, if she is supporting ACTIVELY (there is difference) the SH***EST politician for many of her supporters. Something STINKS here...

Maybe we should look to Michelle Bachmann instead.

You wouldn’t be female would you? It seems so from your posts.

In any event, Sarah has pretty much had ample opportunity to take McLame to task for his RINO-ness and general half-assing the conservative cause, and she hasn’t. No need for name calling or shouting at all..we all know Sarah is not meant for the Presidency. We need a true conservative who doesn’t stand next to RINOS and mimic their behavior.

“To repudiate Palin two years after for supporting McCain’s Senatorial campaign doesn’t speak well of the loyalty, cohesiveness and strength of the Republican ‘brand’.”

What does McCain’s history of disloyalty, weakness and stabs-in-the-back say about the “Republican Brand”?

McCain is a traitor to his party and, frankly, his country.

Well then go ahead and repudiate the votes of 47% of the American public. Tell them they were fools to support the Republican candidate. Then act surprised when the American people decide that the Republicans, as a party, are just not ready to lead.

As I said, much of the blame for this lies with McCain, who seems to keep his powder dry for “friendly fire”, and is halfhearted at best when taking on the left. But in for a farthing in for a pound. He WAS the Republican nominee just TWO YEARS AGO. Admittedly most of us here on FR HATED that fact, but 47% of the votes went to the man.

So what do you think of Sen. Brown? A pro-choice RINO? Shouldn't have run? Shouldn't have gotten any support from Republicans or conservatives? Why?

“Well then go ahead and repudiate the votes of 47% of the American public.”

A large percentage voted for Obama too.

“As I said, much of the blame for this lies with McCain, who seems to keep his powder dry for “friendly fire”, and is halfhearted at best when taking on the left.”

What do you mean “half-hearted?” He IS on the left!

“Admittedly most of us here on FR HATED that fact, but 47% of the votes went to the man.”

The went to McCain not for McCain, but they felt he was the only alternative.

“So what do you think of Sen. Brown? A pro-choice RINO? Shouldn’t have run? Shouldn’t have gotten any support from Republicans or conservatives? Why?”

Nationally, no. In MA? I suppose.

Well at least you show a bit of pragmatism. Of course Brown should have run and won in MA. The “Out with the RINO’s” is short sighted. You win the victories you can with the army you can assemble using the best terrain available. Brown's victory in MA was a huge victory for the Republicans and a huge defeat for 0bama. And yet Brown is a poster-child RINO.

Now how does Arizona look? How is JD running against John? If JD wins the nomination, how strong does he look against a Dem candidate?

Driving out McCain will be a bittersweet victory at best if we end up with a Dem in that seat.

“Of course Brown should have run and won in MA.”

I would never have voted for the man, but I live in a more sane state.

“Brown’s victory in MA was a huge victory for the Republicans and a huge defeat for 0bama. And yet Brown is a poster-child RINO.”

It overturned Kennedy hegemony, but if he votes like a RINO, it’ll make little difference in the end.

“Now how does Arizona look? How is JD running against John? If JD wins the nomination, how strong does he look against a Dem candidate?”

I’m not in Arizona, but McCain is scum.

“Driving out McCain will be a bittersweet victory at best if we end up with a Dem in that seat.”

To quote Patton, better two German divisions ahead of me than a French one behind me.

“McCain is a Dem.”

The worst kind of Dem. One too dishonest to openly join the Dem party.
