Spring is approaching us here in the northern hemisphere on Earth once again, and we are experiencing the annual thaw of the winter ice.
Spring is approaching the northern hemisphere of Mars as well, and with it comes the thaw of carbon dioxide ice. Some of that dry ice sits at the tops of cliffs, and when it thaws it dislodges the material there. The rock and debris on Mars then does the same thing it would do on Earth: it falls. Fast.
And when it does, you get this slice of Martian awesomeness:

What took these pics?

Global Warming caused by SUVs on Earth no doubt.
Any reports of injuries?
They have found a planet where CO2 creates a hazardous condition that must be a man made fault.
No survivors. Everyone on the planet is dead.
If only they had National Health Care on Mars.
HiRISE camera on Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
But... How can Earths rising global temperature change Mars’? /moron-enviro-hoax-believer moment... sorry
Its called the SUN son.
This is a great reminder of that simple fact. Also it looks to me like there is a constant high wind coming from over the ice, you can see the streaks of white on the red rocks, so between sublimation, and CO2 being rather dense compared to the rest of the Martian Atmosphere, sinks into the crater pulling the thin atmosphere down with it creating ever increasing winds. This is likely a land mass created weather phenomenon as well as a landslide event....
You mean who?
95% of Mars atmosphere is CO2.
Surprise! No global warming.
The average temperatures on Mars are lower than anywhere on earth.
lol
That was taken from orbit?? How big is that plume?? miles across?
Is the flag the astronauts left there OK?
;-{)
Nifty.
It looks like plants are growing on Mars.

Weird pic, why does the lower left look like waves/water?
