A US father has been charged with putting his five-week-old baby in the oven for several hours while under the influence of marijuana.
Larry Long, 33, allegedly put the child in the oven after claiming to have hallucinated while smoking marijuana "laced with something", TV station Lex18 reported.
The Kentucky man had been drinking whiskey with the baby's mother before putting the infant in the oven after she had gone to bed.
Thankfully he had not turned the oven on.
The mother was awakened by the baby's crying at around 5:30am on Monday and took the child out of the oven.
The infant was unharmed after being taken to a local hospital.
Police arrested Long after hospital staff called law enforcement officials and charged him with wanton endangerment.

Maybe he thought the oven was Molech. The god Molech was used to sacrifice babies by heating up the hands of the Molech statue to almost red hot and putting the baby in them. Post birth abortions were pretty popular back then.

Sensational headline notwithstanding, I’m sure the pot wasn’t the main reason this scumbag put the baby in the oven.

I am sure we will see someone post... I smoke pot every day and I have never put a baby in the oven so we should legalize pot....
