It can be argued that fasting and prayer are but a cop out, pretending to do something positive while bleeding to death.

“I guess the author is a third party turd that wants to keep Democrats in office by getting rid of Republicans as well.”

Sure does sound like it. Political blood letting must be done solely on getting the Dems out.

Problem is that those that believe in this vile act will be more fired up to stand by their socialist masters. Also, RINOs are great at getting elected, we have them to contend with as well as third party idiots that steal away votes from Conservatives.

In any event violence will just play into Obama’s hand. The second amendment would be quickly kicked down the road, and every way to solidify his kingdom would become valid. No violence people - it’s part of his plan. Don’t forget his mentors like Alinsky & Cloward/Piven. They will use it to propel themselves upward.

Envision one million men and women on Capitol Hill with their firearms too. Exercising their second amendment rights. Demanding that the democrat (and some RINOs) occupants of the Capitol be FIRED and GO HOME NOW!

Not in November, but pack their sh@t and leave NOW while they can. This country would run just fine till November without these asshats running the show.

I have been envisioning that very thing since 4 Nov 2008, when the progressive left seized complete power over America.

I sometimes do this voluntarily, when I'm filled with outrage, but at other times, I get glimpses of such an event from out of the blue.

I can't count the number of times I've seen my outraged fellows openly wonder "what's it going to take?" to get The People to rebel against the clear tyrannical takeover of our country.

As I've said many times, when the pain becomes too great, and it's clear that none of us has anything else to lose, it will begin.

If Pelosi is successful in passing Obamacare, then Obama will unleash that unbearable pain upon the American people with a stroke of his pen.

He will effectively fire the second "Shot Heard 'Round The World".

Seems like this is right dead on the money...

What is not surprising is that the democrats do not believe anything serious will happen...

liberal-statists and a feckless conservative minority was always going to be a dangerous combination...

Bullcrap, they are Democrats, ready to sacrifice for the party if needed. As much as we detest them, they do stick together to promote the socialist cause, just as every communist uprising had their people ready to give up their very life for the cause. Fifty-one percent of America is receiving handouts from the government, those numbers going up every day, cutting our numbers day by day. Soon, we will be huddling in our hovels, reflecting on the America we once knew, and waiting for our next handout. Semper Fi till the day I die!

I agree 100% Violence would only help the foes of Freedom. We must organize and rededicate ourselves to the Cause.

I’m glad our founding fathers didn’t think that way, or we’d still be singing “ God save the Queen”. “If it’s war they want, let it start here” wasn’t offering their other cheek. Semper Fi

I’m all for term limits. The downside is that the good ones who serve honorably would be forced out with the bad ones. I can see two terms as the maximum but that’s it.

Well then let them sacrifice themselves...Doesn’t it make you wonder the kinds of “deals” and “arm twisting” going on to vote on this piece of crap?? Be prepared cause we are going to have to have the same kind of fire in the belly we have now to turn the tide in November.

The problem is that a lot of those doctors and nurses will HAVE to quit or change jobs because as Medicaid/Medicare reimbursements shrink and red tape expands they will be simply unable to make a living in their profession.

Yes, we must THOUGHTFULLY move ahead.

Some moron will do something untoward and be responsible for the excuse used for Marshall Law.

And . . .

for SOME individuals

in SOME contexts . . .

. . . particularly those who are loathe to put legs to their prayers . . .

that would be quite accurate.

However a study of the effects of prayer and of calling on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Revolutionary War and all the wars since

would indicate quite abundantly that prayer has often been associated with miraculous changes on the battle front—many times, saving the day and many lives and the cause entirely.

Prayer and fasting ARE doing something positive.

If you don’t believe in them, then of course you will dismiss them as useless, but those of us who have seen the results of it know better.

The problem with your thinking is that this life is not all there is. If it were, then nothing matters. We might as well be under totalitarian rule as not because it’s all meaninglessness and dust in the wind anyway. And fighting back even with guns, is nothing more than pretending to do something positive while bleeding to death, because once you’re dead, it’s all over and was for nothing anyway.
